As we continue to endure what feels like the longest winter ever, your Montgomery County Republican Party continues working hard to change the political landscape. If you are not already actively involved in your District organization, please reach out to your District Chair (emails listed on the lower right column of the newsletter) and ask when they are holding their next meeting. These are often fun, informal gatherings at local restaurants or your neighbors’ homes where we get together to discuss the issues of the day, and plan for how we can work to register more Republicans and get our candidates elected to office. Getting involved at the District level is such a rewarding experience, and I cannot recommend it highly enough.
Please join us for our rescheduled First Thursday (I have had enough snow days for one year!) on Thursday, March 19 at Ted’s 355 from 7-9 p.m. We have the back room reserved for a special evening featuring guest speakers Sandy Pruitt, Executive Director of People for Change Coalition, and Wayne Dupree of the Wayne Dupree Show. The topic of our discussion is The State of Maryland’s Black Americans; it promises to be a lively and informative event. Please come out to Ted’s and support our efforts to broaden the base of the Party of Lincoln!
Be sure to mark your calendar for this Saturday, March 14 as we gather the marching elephants to take part in the City of Gaithersburg’s St. Patrick’s Day Parade at the Rio Center. We line up between 9-9:30 a.m. for the 10 a.m. parade start. The event is co-sponsored by the MoCo Young Republicans. Don your green, and come join us for this annual event, and maybe hoist a pint or two with your GOP friends afterward.
Stay warm, stay safe, and remember, spring is right around the corner!
