What a great primary season we just wrapped up, right?

Never in memory has Maryland received more attention from presidential campaigns. Packed houses and enthusiastic crowds followed all three remaining candidates around the state, including right here in Rockville! With this much excitement, there has never been a better time to get involved in the Republican Party. Are you excited to help Kathy Szeliga take out the Pelosi lap-dog CVH and become the next U.S. senator from Maryland? I know I am!

Congratulations to our local candidates as well. We saw spirited and energetic races for Congress. Dr. Mark Plaster’s winning national security platform yielded excellent results in CD3, and Dan Cox’s strong showing in the northern section of CD8 propelled him to victory over an impressive field of candidates. We look forward to helping Dan introduce himself to the voters of Montgomery County. Thank you also to Liz Matory and Aryeh Shudofsky for showing that the youth of our party is not only engaged, but ready to step up and assume leadership roles; I look forward to big things from those two going forward!

CD6 was a hard fought race, and Montgomery County’s own Amie Hoeber climbed to the top of a very crowded field. Showing impressive organization, and fundraising ability unseen in these parts for quite a while, Mrs. Hoeber is poised to send John Delaney packing!

Frank Howard gave it his all, and we are super proud of our native son, as well as all of the other candidates who showed such passion for fixing all of our problems at the federal level. In toasting their fine effort, I will also ask that they all stay involved and work to help us at the state and local level where we have so much work left to do.

Come help us celebrate the close of primary season in style as we come together in unity and gear up for our run to the general in November. Our annual Lincoln Day Dinner is Tuesday, May 17 at the Bethesda Doubletree Hotel. Continuing the MCGOP tradition of bringing you first rate speakers, we are pleased to welcome United States Senator Tom Cotton (AR)! Tickets for the double-entrée dinner are $125, and VIP meet-and-greet is $250; reserve your spot now at Sponsorships and program ads are still available, so let me know if you are interested.

Can’t wait to see you all in Bethesda on the 17th! Don’t be shy – Come out and meet your Montgomery County Republican team!
