The next few weeks will see a burst of activity as we approach the final weeks of the campaigns. Of course we are all interested in the presidential race, but often little attention is paid to the down ticket races. In Montgomery County we have three Congressional races as well as the Senate race to be concerned about. With a Republican in the White House, there would be no cooperation from the likes of ChrisVan Hollen in the Senate, John Sarbanes in District 3, John Delaney in District 6 or Jamie Raskin in District 8.

The Republican Party has excellent candidates for all of those seats:

U.S. Senate – Kathy Szeliga

“Deep in our hearts, most of us believe in the promise of America and the power of the American Dream. We have a paralyzed government incapable of solving even our most basic needs. I want to serve in the U.S. Senate to champion Americans who are decent, responsible citizens yearning for the opportunity to work hard, pay the bills, raise a family.”

On the following Thursday mornings there is phone calling for Kathy Szeliga at MCGOP HQs 15833 Crabbs Branch Way, Rockville from 10:00 AM to 9:00 PM October 6th. October 13th and October 20th

Congressional District 3 – Mark Plaster

“We have 50,000+ veterans who live in Maryland’s 3rd District. Despite this fact, Congressman Sarbanes votes in the BOTTOM 1% of Congress on veterans’ issues. He’s a FIVE TERM Washington insider who is dangerously out of touch with his constituents. We can do much, much, better.

“We won’t fix the problem with more politicians – it will take more leaders with real world experience. I’m a twice deployed military doctor, a businessman, and an ER doctor. I have the experience Congress needs.

“With YOUR help we can make a difference!”

There is a Town Hall event, featuring Republican challenger Mark Plaster and Democratic incumbent John Sarbanes with questions from the audience on October 10, 2016 at 7:30 PM at the Buffington Building Community Room, 3300 Sandy Spring Rd #200, Olney, MD 20832
