School is almost out for the summer!  Most students are probably looking forward to a break from classes and perhaps a family beach trip or travel to another vacation destination.  But before you lock down on all your summer plans, MoCo Republican students, please make sure to sign up for the June 27 and 28 Student Training Session and Trip to Capitol Hill.

On day one (Tuesday, June 27) GOP students are invited to attend a training session at MCGOP headquarters in Rockville, MD.   Attend the GOP Student Training Session to lean about local politics, our precinct organization, grassroots organizing, opposition research, and the importance of communications and social media in the political realm.  This is also a great opportunity to meet some members of the state and local party leadership, members of the Montgomery County Central Committee, and GOP candidates for local office.

On day two (Wednesday, June 28) students who have attended the day one training session will travel to the U.S. Capitol.  We’ll get a tour of the Capitol building, attend a congressional hearing, and meet Republican members of Congress and their staff.  We are encouraging students to take Metro into the city, as parking is very limited near the U.S. Capitol complex.  We will have three “Metro meet up” locations so students can travel together.

Space is limited and completed sign up forms to RSVP for this event are due by close of business on Monday, June 12th.  There is no cost to participate in this event, although each student will need spending money for transportation, lunch and a snack.  Students are advised to dress in business casual attire, and please wear comfortable shoes, since we will be walking a lot.

To sign up/RSVP (NOTE:  Only fully completed sign-up forms, w/ a parent signature will be accepted) go to:  The deadline is COB Monday, June 12.  If you have questions, please go to: [email protected].

Finally, we are asking all of YOU to PLEASE SHARE THIS with other MoCo Republican students who might be interested in this event!
