Scroll Down for Info about Central Committee Vacancies

Dear Fellow Central Committee Members,

We have decided that it will better for the Montgomery County Republican Central Committee to meet only once over the next month to vote on new Central Committee members, so we will not be voting on new members at the Tuesday August 22 meeting.

This email, therefore, constitutes the official notice that the Montgomery County Republican Central Committee will hold a Special Meeting on Tuesday September 26, 2017 starting at 7:30 pm at MCGOP Headquarters (15833 Crabbs Branch Way, Rockville, Maryland) to consider the 3 new Central Committee members nominated in August, as well any other Central Committee member who may be nominated in the interim to fill two Legislative District 20 vacancies and one Legislative District 14 vacancy. We regret that Kat O’Connor has submitted her resignation to represent LD-14.

On Tuesday, August 22 – next Tuesday – we will hold an Executive Committee meeting, as previously announced. We urge Executive Committee members to attend so we can vote on several important matters:

  1. Approval of Chairman’s appointment of members to the Executive Board including Sharon Cohen and Leslie Grizzard to join Vincent DeCain and Gregory Decker.
  2. Approval of proposal to establish a Sponsorship Program to raise funds for the operations of the Committee.
  3. Adoption of portion of the 2017 budget pertaining to funds being provided to Legislative District Chairs.

We will report also on our decision to move forward with the MDGOP Toolkit and report on upcoming events.

I apologize for any confusion and hope you have not been inconvenienced.
