Once You Win, How to Take Control!

by Ann Guthrie Hingston, Second Vice Chairman,
Montgomery County Republican Party
How do you take control of the bureaucracy and implement your agenda? Dr. Donald J. Devine will address this question and many others at a MCGOP Book Party on Tuesday, October 3 (5:30-8 pm) at a private residence in Potomac. To purchase tickets go to www.mcgop.com/author. To RSVP and get directions please call 301-641-4429. You may pay at the door. General admission: $60; students: $25; VIP with copies of both books: $100. Republican candidates who have filed are welcomed free. Dr. Devine will be available to inscribe his books.
The Montgomery County Republican Party is proud to present Donald Devine who, as Director of the President Reagan’s Office of Personnel Management, played an important role in ensuring that Reagan’s campaign promises were carried out for the benefit of taxpayers and federal employees. He was labeled by the Washington Post as “Reagan’s Terrible Swift Sword of the Civil Service” for cutting more than 100,000 jobs from the federal workforce saving billions of dollars.
Dr. Devine will speak about two of his books available to attendees: “America’s Way Back: Reclaiming Freedom, Tradition and Constitution” about how the conservative movement must reclaim freedom, prosperity and creativity through a fusion of tradition and libertarian thought. His other book, reprinted in paperback in July 2017, is “Political Management of the Bureaucracy: A Guide to Reform and Control.” He presents a dynamic narrative “full of controversy, humor, intrigue, bureaucratic warfare, daring and betrayal,” according to Amazon. Morton Blackwell of the Leadership Institute says it is a must read for public officials at all levels who want to see election results translated into public policy.
A former professor of political science at the University of Maryland and the author of eight books, Dr. Devine now lectures on politics and political science for The Fund for American Studies, and writes columns for several prominent websites. He works also as a management and political consultant and resides with his wife in Shadyside, Maryland.
Join the Montgomery County Republican Central Committee on October 3 and meet Don Devine!
