Meet Dr. Donald Devine
Donald J. Devine is former professor of political science at the University of Maryland, and the author of eight books. As President Reagan’s civil service director he was labeled by The Washington Post as “Reagan’s Terrible Swift Sword of the Civil Service” for cutting more than 100,000 jobs from the federal workforce saving tens of billions of dollars. He now lectures on politics and political science for The Fund for American Studies, and writes columns for several prominent websites on public policy, philosophy and politics. He also works as a management and political consultant. He resides with his wife in Shadyside, Maryland.
