The 2016 Election features some very crucial races for our state and our country. To make sure your voice is heard this election season, follow these three simple steps.
Step One – Register to Vote
To cast a ballot, a resident must be a registered voter in the state of Maryland. The deadline to register online for the General Election is October 18, 2016.

Step Two – Meet Your Candidates
There are many strong Republican nominees for U.S. House of Representatives, U.S. Senate, and as President of the United States. To review a list of Republican candidates on the ballot this November and to learn more about them, click here.

Step Three – Vote!
Voters in Montgomery County may cast their ballots one of three ways:
- Absentee Ballot – Voters may request an absentee ballot here. Applications must be submitted by November 1 if requested by mail, or November 4 if requested online.
- Early Voting – Early Voting will run from October 27 to November 3 at ten early voting centers. For a list of early voting centers, click here.
- Election Day – Registered voters may cast a ballot on Election Day – Tuesday, November 8, 2016 between 7am and 8pm at their precinct polling place. To find your polling place, click here.
