Dear Mr Melby, Thank you for the newsletter.  It's good that MC has a Republican constituency.  In our local elections Republicans and Democrats are both contenders for office.   I think Hogan would have won the senate race if he had survived the primary.

I thank you very much for the moderate message below.  I notice that you avoided even mentioning our national leadership, or repeating their ridiculous claims.  Keep on doing that.  Local is better than toady.  

As for the No Kings movement:  Trump is grabbing power and putting his name on everything he can.  Clearly he really wants to be king, and we must resist that.  Any Maryland Republican candidate in midterms who wants to win, must show the electorate that he/she has the spine to oppose the worst of Trump's moves. Alaska was able to elect a Republican who thinks; why can't we?

And the newsletter needs to show some guts too, to oppose some of Trump's moves and refute his lies.  You will no doubt catch some flak, but the survival of the Republican party is at stake here.  Long term leadership depends on showing distance from both WOKE and MAGA excesses.
