TAXES THROUGH THE ROOF
By Dennis Brent Melby
Democrat majorities in Rockville and Annapolis. Taxes through the roof. Have you had enough yet?

Martin O’Malley wanted to tax the rain – Larry Hogan (no Trump conservative) lowered nuisance fees and left the state with a surplus.
Wes (I want to run for President) Moore spent the surplus and raised fees and taxes through the roof. Not to be outdone Marc Elrich
and Will Jawando said “Hold my beer, I’ll see you and raise you one!” Let’s spend tax money on our campaigns, on groups that will help get us elected and to prove there’s no ceiling to our spending - empty buses, empty bus lanes, closed schools and lowering grades for the kids. We’ll make sure we DON’T spend it on cops in schools, but make sure the Apple Ballot crew gets raises in this election year.
Is there an alternative? You bet. Haven’t you had enough? I sure have, and so have most of the voters in Montgomery County. I’m so glad so many Democrat friends read our newsletter too.
We’re fighting to get a question on the ballot to Stop the Spend…make sure if the county keeps raiding your pocket their spending can’t exceed the rate of inflation without a unanimous vote.
We’re fighting to get another viewpoint on the Council. Tax & Spend, Tax & Spend might give way to reasonable spending, common sense, and priorities. We need to attract businesses to MoCo, we need to give citizens a break and stop the U-Hauls from taking so many folks out of state. We need jobs and wages – not a policy of pitting groups against each other and prospering from the division single party rule has caused.
Yep my friends, you might have to bite the bullet and vote for the alternative. EVERYONE who runs as a Republican is NOT your enemy (even if Democracy Dies in Darkness says so). Our folks offer alternatives. Our folks offer hope. Our folks aren’t looking to serve so many consecutive terms on the council it boggles the mind!
Choose wisely this November. Choose some diversity of thought, diversity of ideas, and diversity of party. Stop Taxing and Spending and Divisiveness from going through the roof.
Before it’s too late. Haven’t you had enough?
Do you think there should be a limit to spending or taxing? Do you think we’re doing better or worse than our neighbors? Does pitting one group against another make sense to you? Tell me what you think at [email protected]. You may be published in the feedback section, space permitting.
