Tell voters how the Democratic party is against the US and Maryland Constitution. They want to voters to vote yes on the last ballot initiative # 3 about Gerrymandering our one and only Republican Congressman Dr Andy Harris. There are ONE MILLION registered Republican voters in MD. We will have not representation in the House of Representatives.

Sorry Dennis, like many other Fed up Montgomery County Republicans I will be moving to Florida in March. After 59 years as a native Washingtonian, I have had it with the state of Maryland in general. Taxes are too high here and the cost-of-living is absolutely out of control. I hope you’re able to get that and check someday. I look forward to living in a state that has no state income tax and will soon eliminate personal property tax entirely. Maybe Maryland should take a lesson from Governor DeSantis. Perhaps you could impose a tourist tax at the beaches on hotel rooms or something similar to It’s over what Florida does. Best of luck to you.

Boy you got that right "Montgomery County install more empty bike lanes", I regularly travel Old Georgetown Road all different days of the week and at different times I have never once seen a bicyclist in the bike lane, this only served to make traffic worse on Old Georgetown Road than before the bike lanes, after installed someone posted on Next Door they have to add 40 minutes to their commute cause they merge from the beltway onto Old Georgetown Road and they get hung up in a bottleneck due to the bike lanes.
When they were calling for input from the community when this was "proposed" I wrote everyone I could think of never even got one letter of acknowledgement of receipt, they had Town Halls but I didn't go to any, I was part of the group against bike lanes, the whole thing was a ruse calling for comments and Town Halls by Officials, someone had uncovered it was already a done deal before the calls for comments and the Town Halls, deliberately fooling people making them think they could make a difference and wasting their time playing games.
One of the points I brought up in my letters "It's going to cause cars to idle harming the environment" I'm not a traffic engineer nor an environmentalist but I don't need to be I have common sense and sure enough this is what it is happening, not that long ago a car was attempting to turn right off of Old Georgetown from within the bike lane into the Wildwood Shopping Center by Balduccis as I was simultaneously attempting to turn right off of Old Georgetown Road at the same spot we almost crashed into one another, this wasn't the first time I've seen this I see it a lot driving by but this was the first and only time I was almost involved in an accident because of this.
I wrote Officials at Montgomery County Police and the Maryland State Highway Administration that they need to conduct a study of cars driving in the bike lanes, and need to be monitoring and patrolling this. I called MD Highway Administration three times checking on the status of my letter, never got a callback, never got a written response. I raised in my letter to MD Highway Administration they need as part of their study to inspect the bike lane posts that will prove cars in the bike lane as to their condition and I want to know how many times they have been replaced that will also prove cars in the bike lane all that was ignored. As far as the Police I did get something back in writing, it was Police Officials talking back and forth with each other about this they sounded like idiots "Should we do something about this, I don't know maybe", that is the last I heard from the Police about this .
This has been my bike lane rant for the day.
