You're too nice    Americans/Marylanders want election integrity ALL!

I agree about "normal" Democrats, I am one, although considered 'alt-right' by many of my peers.
I grew up with Bill Clinton as president, and today is far different.
Talking to family members (all democrats) about the newer younger democrats, has been a chore.
They're not advocating for the middle-class, it's all about race, gender, and palestine.
I remain a registered Dem, so that I can vote against the extremists in the primaries.
We need more populist Republicans, who can throw a bone to the left on matters such as education funding.
Thanks for the article

I miss a normal GOP.

At this stage I don't think the Democrat party is fixable. By normal voters, there is a strong fixation on socialism and socialist policies (such as rent control which is guaranteed to make rent more expensive).   While I don't see socialists making inroad into Montgomery County so much, it's a given that the terrible socialist policies will become more normalized.
Until Democrats themselves reject the ideology of Communism and Socialism, there's not a lot that Republicans can do.   Heck, we can't even get rid of Marc Elrich, perhaps the worst county executive in my 50 years in Montgomery county even after passing a law limiting the county executive to 2 term.
I know my spouse (who is a Democrat) is disgusted by the party, but I don't see any "normal" democrats speaking out about the bad policies enacted by the left.

Crazy idea. We have a 32 year old conservative guy friend who has to go to front royal to find conservative girls for dating. There must be conservative girls here. Maybe there can be some kind of social for these single folks.

I lived in Montgomery co. Maryland for about 62 years before I moved South.  I remember the county you speak of.  I miss it also.  I worked for and retired from Montgomery County.  I moved South for several reasons.  One was the politics.  It was difficult to watch a once proud County degrade into a woke enclave that celebrated insanity as it sank into a has been.

Dennis, Another great Monday commentary.
What will it take to bring normal Democrats back?
