‘Twas the night before Christmas, Saint Nick wasn’t well.
Mrs. Claus called the elves with the ring of a bell.
“He’s down for the count; we’re in this too deep.”
The elves all fell silent, not even a peep.
“But what shall we do?!” came the cry from above,
“That’s a very good question,” said the Mrs. with love.
“We must get the presents to all of the kids
This won’t be easy, but we can’t hit the skids.”

“I have a suggestion, came a voice from the pack.
How ‘bout 47? I hear that he’s back.”
“Well I don’t know Dear, he’s really quite busy!”
Then the elves all erupted, going into a tizzy.
“All right! I will ask,” said the Mrs. in haste,
“We’re in quite a hurry, there’s no time to waste!”
She rang up Melania, whom she had on speed dial,
“I’m sure he will do it,” FLOTUS said with a smile.

When Trump heard the news, he smiled a broad smile,
“Can’t do it myself, I’m stuck here for a while.
I know just the man who can master the sleigh.
Get Marco - he may get a Nobel this way!”
When Trump called up Marco, he could hear him groan,
“But Sir, I’m so tired and I want to stay home!”
“I’ll pay for it all. It’s for the children you know,” said Trump.
So "Saint Marco" agreed he would go.

The elves found some padding, he must look the part.
His wife kissed his forehead with love in her heart.
“This will be the best Christmas!” said Trump with a grin.
Then he tossed a large teddy bear into the bin.
So Marco climbed wearily into the sleigh,
He’d take his vacation on some other day.
“Saint Marco” called out as he drove out of sight,
“Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night!”
