A SPECIAL DISCUSSION ABOUT SEX TRAFFICKING IN MARYLAND

At MCGOP Headquarters September 13.  MCGOP held a presentation about human trafficking with Candace Parrott from the Maryland Human Trafficking Task Force. We learned that Montgomery County is a hot bed for human trafficking. No child is immune. Candace has seen it in Potomac and Chevy Chase as well as other places around the county. Mostly white people are trafficked. The traffickers look for vulnerable kids and can find them online, at malls, at movie theaters, or anywhere kids hang out. There has been an uptick in MoCo with LGBTQ youth as victims.
