On November 5, 2024, our country decided that they had seen enough of the Left’s policies, and they voted to return to normalcy. After the election results came in, President-Elect Donald Trump called for all Americans to come together. “This will forever be remembered as the day the American people regained control of their country.” “It was a historic realignment uniting citizens of all backgrounds around a common core of common sense.” As we get ready to start a new year, we see many on the Left appear to be moving toward Trump. Some appear to be embracing normalcy while others want to remain relevant. The Left is not disputing his win as he won both the electoral college and the popular vote.
“Morning Joe” co-hosts Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski met with Trump “to restart communications.”
Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg praised Trump’s reaction after the July assassination attempt. After the election, he visited Mar-a-Lago. "Mark Zuckerberg has been very clear about his desire to be a supporter of and a participant in this change that we're seeing all around America, all around the world with this reform movement that Donald Trump is leading," (Stephen) Miller said to guest host Brian Kilmeade.”
Even Van Jones, former President Barack Obama's Special Advisor for Green Jobs and current CNN host, called Trump “smarter than me, you and all the critics.”
Senator John Fetterman has climbed aboard the Trump Train. “… (T)he Pennsylvania lawmaker was the first Democrat to meet with Trump's embattled defense secretary nominee, Pete Hegseth, who faces allegations of sexual assault and workplace drinking, each of which he denies. The meeting was notable since Fetterman isn't a member of the Senate Armed Services Committee, the panel that will hold Hegseth's confirmation hearing.”
“He then chastised party members for loudly opposing Hegseth, as well as former Rep. Tulsi Gabbard, Trump's pick for director of national intelligence, and Robert F. Kennedy Jr., the health and human services nominee.”
“Those individuals can vent or rant on Twitter, but I’m here to have conversations, and I think I’m just doing my job,” he said during an interview with CNN.”
In deep blue Maryland, Governor Wes Moore seems to be keeping the door open. “We will vigorously defend the interests of all Marylanders, and we are ready to push back on this new White House, when necessary,” Moore said. “But where we can find common ground, we will, not only as a matter of principle but as a responsibility to the people we represent.”
We look forward to 2025. We hope more on both sides of the aisle will hop on the Trump Train. There’s plenty of room. All aboard!
