It’s time for one last spoonful of Cheerios and one last set of push-ups before the official start of the 2026 election season.

Lots of questions will be answered next November. A few of the critical questions that the MCGOP is following include:
- Will common sense trickle back into Montgomery County or will “Mamdani madness” prevail with candidates like Will Jawando who will defund the police and put female products in men’s rooms?

- Will our children continue to be exposed to unvetted handlers and school resource officers continue to be prohibited in high schools ( https://montgomeryperspective.com/2025/08/07/county-pta-mcps-background-check-failures-are-shocking/ )?
- Will the “Stop the Spend” petition (https://controlmocospending.com/ ) pass and limit spending or will the County post a competing amendment allowing them to continue to raise spending above the inflation rate?
- Will Council intrusion into neighborhoods, like Thrive 2025, continue?
- Will the MCPS boundary study lead to bussing to achieve MCPS’s “diversity goals” https://youtu.be/0EGSBr3MXQE and https://www.mcgop.com/school_boundary_changes_speak_up_now ?
- Will Montgomery County continue to lead Maryland down the energy rabbit hole with policies, such as eliminating gas heating, while there isn’t enough power on the grid now? https://marylandmatters.org/2025/07/23/energy-bills-likely-to-tick-up-again-in-2026-after-electricity-auction-clears-at-maximum-price/
- Will businesses like Clark, AstraZeneca and Raytheon continue to move out of Montgomery County to Virginia due to a more favorable business climate ( https://marylandmatters.org/2025/03/25/vice-chair-of-house-panel-says-tech-tax-drove-decision-to-move-business-to-virginia/), and will the County Council continue to gas-light us that business in the County is great?
- Will the County continue to write over 50,000 checks to anonymous vendors squandering $320,000,000 of tax payer money https://spending.data.montgomerycountymd.gov/#!/year/2024/explore/1/service?
- Will Montgomery County continue to expand the bus rapid transit (BRT) that is only 28% used? Will the BRT choke the same critical roads as the bike lanes?
Let’s face it, the policies of the current Montgomery County government are not helping the citizens of this County. These are not Republican, Democrat or Independent issues, these are common sense issues.
It is time to right the ship and elect public servants that serve the people and not focus on their next election and photo-op. Fortunately, there are Republican candidates that are raising their hands to run and are stepping into the ring to make a difference.
If you have had enough and want to help stop the madness, please raise your hand and get in the ring to run for office or support those that do run.
Let’s roll…
