Condoms for Kiddies Defeated

(Sent March 4, 2025) Last week was a whirlwind in Annapolis. In a move that defies common sense, Democrats in the House of Delegates pushed a bill (HB 360) to install condom vending machines in nursery schools, elementary schools, and high schools, a shocking attempt to further their agenda of oversexualizing children. You can’t make this up!

But the Maryland Freedom Caucus fought back. We stood on the House floor and made it clear to the public exactly what the Democrats were attempting to do. We delivered impassioned speeches exposing this degenerate scheme to place vending machines filled with condoms, birth control, and who knows what else in elementary schools. This was nothing short of an outrageous attempt to undermine parents and push an inappropriate agenda on our children.

My floor speech went viral, picked up by Libs of TikTok and others, garnering over 2 million views! We dubbed this bill 'Condoms for Kiddies', and soon, the nation was paying attention.

Then the national news stepped in. Fox News’ John Roberts invited me to Washington, D.C., to discuss the bill on national television. Jesse Watters replayed the floor speech, and radio hosts and podcasters across the country echoed our outrage.

Meanwhile, the Maryland House of Delegates pushed it through, as 89 Democrats voted in favor of condom vending machines in elementary schools. Check the record—did your delegate vote for this insanity?
Voting list for the bill.
Then came the real victory. On Friday, the Senate Judicial Proceedings Committee took up the bill—and instantly killed it. No debate. No argument. Just a swift vote to put HB 360 where it belongs: in the trash.

This was a HUGE WIN for Maryland families. Thanks to the relentless efforts of the Maryland Freedom Caucus, including Delegate Mark Fisher and Delegate Lauren Arikan, the public saw just how radical and indefensible this proposal was.

Even after this national embarrassment, some Democrats still don’t get it. The bill’s sponsor lamented, “It’s a bit disappointing not to have at least had the conversation on the Senate side about making sure that everyone in Maryland has access to contraceptives.”

Let’s be clear—no one is denying adults access to contraceptives. But that’s not what this was about. This was about pushing an inappropriate agenda onto young children under the guise of “healthcare.” The radical left continues to ignore parents, ignore reality, and ignore the clear message sent by the people of Maryland.

This was a decisive win for Maryland families, but the battle is far from over. The left will keep trying to impose their radical policies on our families. The Maryland Freedom Caucus will continue to fight for parental rights, common sense, and the protection of our children.

We will not back down.
