Fire Up 14
By Patrick Spaulding, District 14 Chairman
As we prepare for the 2018 campaign season, the candidates in District 14 plan to kick off their “Fire Up 14” campaign initiative by looking for more direct interaction with the residents. Recently, they have created a new Facebook page titled “MoCo GOP – District 14” in order to reach out to more of the community on a social media platform. Through this page, candidate profiles, meetings, news and other related information is shared in order to help residents understand what’s going on in their community and give them an opportunity to voice their opinions. While the page is still in its early stages, its following has been steadily growing and more people have begun to take notice. Once the New Year rolls in, this tool is bound to become a key factor in keeping the residents informed about campaign progress! Click here to visit the page and remember to like & share with your friends and neighbors so we can continue to grow!
As a way to reach out to residents on a more personal level, the candidates will be hosting a monthly gathering on the 14th of every month at various locations throughout the district to discuss important issues that affect the community. Each “fireside gathering” will start off with a speaker to outline an issue and give a background talk about how and why this is important to our district. Afterwards, the candidates will be available for all those who attend to share their views and discuss how to address these matters both in an open forum and a one-on-one basis.
We have some ideas about possible venues, topics, and speakers already in mind, but we want YOU to tell us what you want to be discussed! If you have any input as to where in the district you want to meet and/or discussion topics, please email [email protected] or visit the Facebook page to comment on the posts related to these events. Information about each monthly event will be posted on the Facebook page and sent via email well in advance so that you can plan ahead. We look forward to your feedback about how we can work together to successfully address issues in our district!
