THE HUESSY REPORT

Memo to Mongomery County friends of the Republican Party from Peter Huessy, President of Geo-Strategic Analysis of Potomac, Maryland

Why did the election go the way it did? I think there were three factors. (1) The arrogance of Fauci and Collins and the lockdown lies. (2) The huge growth in human smuggling across our open southern border. (3) The horror of forcing surgeries onto minors who suffer from gender dysphoria and the related craziness of allowing men to harm women in sports and invade women’s private spaces.

These three issues are covered here. Then we give our weekly dose of California foolishness plus another chapter in the climate crisis and energy. Plus a cartoon from Michael Ramirez and a satirical look at North Korea.

(1) A Stanford doctor who authored the Great Barrington Declaration in 2020 explains why the lockdown was so deadly ad Fauci and Collins so wrong. 100 million cancer screenings were not done. Result? An additional one million Americans died from cancer as people skipped such care as they feared getting CV in the hospitals. Trump has appointed him as head of NIH.

(2) Tom Homan who has been chosen to be the border czar explains what the new Administration plans to do including putting the Denver Mayor in the clink. Human smuggling now more profitable than illicit drug sales.

(3) Nancy Mace, (R-SC) explains her House resolution on who can use women’s bathrooms and private places in Congress, along with some commentary about the push to perform surgeries on minors.

As usual this report has its usual segment on another knuckleheaded “California Dreamen”.plus another banana-headed energy and climate crisis explanation. Higher  oil and gas prices gives a windfall in government revenue to Iran and Russia. Included is an essay of mine that explains this.

Fauci and Collins

This doctor got CV-19 right and determined the lockdowns were a disaster. Dr. Fauci in court testimony has admitted that the US followed China’s plan for the lockdown which was a total fraud. The PRC told the World Health Organization the CCP had stopped CV-19 by January 2020!! They then looked at Italy and New York and panicked. This is that story.

This is serious business. The great pastor Martin Luther explained that if the truth is determined by authority, then science is being discarded. The enlightenment went in the opposite direction—truth will be revealed by constant assessment of the world. Yet Collins and Fauci sat atop $45 billion in research funding. To get tenor one had to get a research grant from NIH. And no one dared challenge Collins and Fauci. And the doctor who came in from the fringe | Power Line

Trump's border plan is already a success: Sheriff Thaddeus Cleveland

Terrell County, Texas Sheriff Thaddeus Cleveland discusses whether sanctuary city leaders should be arrested if they don't comply with Trump's deportation plan on 'Varney & Co.

Tom Homan, a former acting director of Immigration and Customs Enforcement and longtime hardliner on illegal immigration, has no time for Democratic politicians who are vowing to oppose Trump’s efforts to deport illegals when he takes office. And, Homan told Fox News’ Sean Hannity this week, he knows exactly how to handle them. In the interview, Homan was asked specifically about Denver Mayor Mike Johnston, whose city has become a overrun with illegals at a huge cost to its citizens. In an interview with Denver’s KUSA last week, Johnston said he’d be willing to go to jail, if necessary, while opposing Trump’s deportation moves.

“Look, me and the Denver mayor, we agree on one thing: He’s willing to go to jail; I’m willing to put him in jail,” Homan said.

It’s against federal law — a felony — to “knowingly harbor and conceal illegal aliens from immigration authorities,” Homan explained. “He can get the hell out of the way,” Homan said. “But we’re going to go do the job. ”President Trump has a mandate from the American people. We have to secure this country. We got to save American lives.” As KUSA reported, Johnston’s comments about his willingness to go to jail actually represented a comedown from his previous statements to the Colorado Public Radio-affiliated website Denverite, where he’d talked about obstructing deportation efforts by using Denver law enforcement, or encouraging a “Tiananmen Square” style public protest in which American citizens protect illegal aliens from deportation efforts. (At the conservative website American Thinker, commentator John M. Grondelski noted Johnston’s comments, for all their invocation of the heroism on display in China in 1989, were essentially in line with the left’s playbook use of “human shields” — as Hamas terrorists do in Gaza.)

'Men Are Threatening to Bash My Head In': Nancy Mace Fires Back After Critics Get Violent

By Michael Schwarz  November 22, 2024 at 12:22pm

Diabolical ideologies such as communism and fascism have always infected their most devoted adherents with maniacal fanaticism. Nowadays, transgender ideology has the same effect — and for the same reasons. In a commentary penned for the U.K. Daily Mail and published on Friday, Republican Rep. Nancy Mace of South Carolina once again adopted a defiant posture in the face of transgender activists’ violent threats and then pledged to never back down in her ongoing quest to keep men out of women’s spaces. “On social media, men are threatening to bash my head in,” Mace began. Indeed, this week the congresswoman has found herself at the center of the latest controversy over transgender ideology. The upcoming 119th Congress will include Democratic Rep. Sarah McBride of Delaware — a man pretending to be a woman. On Monday, Mace moved to introduce a resolution requiring members of Congress to honor private spaces reserved by sex. For instance, anyone born a man must use the men’s bathroom. And anyone born a woman must use the women’s bathroom. As one would expect, unhinged leftists lost their minds over that very rudimentary concept. “I seemed to blow up the radical left last night,” Mace said Tuesday in a clip posted to the social media platform Xin America today, this is what happens to women when they advocate for their own safety,” she wrote.

Then, the congresswoman explained why she would never back down from this fight. “As the first female graduate from South Carolina’s military college, The Citadel, and the first Republican congresswoman elected in the state, I’ve broken barriers all my life. I’m also a survivor of rape and domestic violence, and I still live with PTSD from these traumatizing experiences,” she continued. “My advocacy isn’t political — it’s personal,” she added. Of course, one need not break barriers nor suffer trauma in order to acknowledge basic, biological truths.

Nor must one even acknowledge biological truths in order to denounce violent threats. Thursday on X, Mace posted another short video, this time from the airport on her way home to South Carolina. “I just spoke at an event with a couple hundred people,” she reported. “Some trans lunatic tried to rush the stage and attack me.”“And he is just making the case for me that we don’t want penises in women’s spaces,” she added. Adopting the same defiant tone, the congresswoman also reported a hostile encounter with a woman at the airport moments earlier. The clip below showed the “[r]aging lunatic, pretending to be female,” who tried to rush the stage while Mace spoke.

Meanwhile, journalist Andy Ngo of The Post Millennial identified one “Portland trans extremist” who had threatened to kill both Mace and “Harry Potter” author J.K. Rowling, another staunch defender of truth and women’s rights. To her credit, Mace has ignored the threats and pledged to carry this fight wherever necessary. “The U.S. Capitol is the seat of our democracy,” she wrote in the Daily Mail. “It must set the standard. I am now introducing legislation to expand the same-sex bathroom policy across federal property nationwide and in schools funded by the federal government. ”Women and girls deserve more than to have their needs ignored and protective boundaries erased,” she added. Those who answer such obvious truths by making violent threats deserve no pity.

At the same time, however, we should regard many other tortured souls caught up in transgender ideology as victims. “For the good of society and especially for the good of the poor people who have fallen prey to this confusion, transgenderism must be eradicated from public life entirely—the whole preposterous ideology, at every level,” Michael Knowles of The Daily Wire tweeted on Thursday. Knowles’s perspective has substantial merit when weighing how to respond to threats against Mace and others. After all, not everyone who suffers from gender confusion also harbors homicidal fantasies. At the same time, however, we must treat transgender ideology as a species of the same madness that once gave rise to mass movements in support of totalitarian fascism and communism. Never mind specific doctrines. Ideologies of that kind attract different types of troubled and resentful people, including — perhaps especially — those who despise reality and therefore dream of making a new one. And that requires self-destruction in the service of something larger than the self.

In that sense, of course, diabolical ideologies amount to a deliberate perversion of Christianity. Whereas Christians renounce self-will that we may follow Christ and receive His gift of eternal life — a gift whereby He will make us both more like Him and more fully ourselves, for as individuals we hope to live forever — devotees of diabolical ideologies such as fascism, communism and transgenderism reject the universe as God fashioned it, claiming instead the power to remake reality in their own images. Thus, the most fanatical ideologues will cling to their new invented realities as if their existence depended on it. Hence their often violent reaction when challenged. In short, Mace deserves credit for persistence in the face of threats. But if we hope to defeat transgender ideologues and restore sanity to the Western world, we should neither misunderstand the nature of their ideological affliction nor underestimate its capacity for triggering violent reactions when confronted with truth.

Ukraine, Energy and Russia: Some Thoughts About Oil and Gas

By Peter Huessy

During his first administration,  President Trump demanded io know what plan the United States military had for defeating ISIS. There was at the time no plan beyond muddling through. The President said that was unacceptable. He gave notice that the military had one year to destroy and thus defeat ISIS. The United Sates military developed a plan, carried it out and at the end of a year ISIS was destroyed. No more endless war.

The new administration under President Trump is facing a not similar dilemma in Ukraine. There is no apparent plan for victory and defeating Russia—armed as it is with thousands (+6500) of nuclear weapons of varying ranges and yields—is a horse of a different color.

However, is the objective of restoring Ukraine’s sovereignty possible and the complete withdrawal of Russian forces from the Donbass and Crimea? And could such an objective be achieved, perhaps largely within a year? And caried out through the adoption of multiple lines of attack against Moscow, many of which would involve the adoption of economic policies on which President Trump campaigned!?

The Russian economy is suffering huge losses. One million young men have been killed and injured and do not now produce anything in the economy. Money is fleeing the country as the oligarchs are getting out when the getting out is possible. The ruble recently slid by 40% in value.

The Russian government is now heavily dependent upon oil and gas sales but able to skirt sanctions by selling crude oil and natural gas to China and India, with the ocean borne oil using significant number of  “shadow” tankers.  Russia is also losing oil revenue as for example it is exchanging oil and gas to North Korea in return for soldiers, a barter exchange that only a few  governments are willing to carry out but which loses Russian important oil and gas revenue.

President Trump’s Treasury Secretary wants to produce 3 million more barrels of oil per day to reach 16+ million barrels, an objective that when achieved could reduce the price of crude oil to $45 a barrels compared to the current world price of around $70.

Russia in 2022 was earning $1.2 billion Euros per day selling crude oil but that has now dropped to $600 million Euros per day. (For our calculations we are assuming a Euro is roughly equal to $1 dollar although the current exchange rate is one Euro is worth $.95.)

Today Russia exports as much of 7 million barrels of crude a day to Asia and Europe as a number of European nations are exempt from the sanctions adopted following Moscow’s invasion of Ukraine in 2022. Nevertheless, of the 9-10.5 million barrels of oil produced daily in Russia, a decline in the price of $25 a barrels would deprive Moscow of some $46 billion  income annually of which 50% goes to the government in the form of a tax on mineral production. The Russian military could thus be deprived of more than 15% of its annual budget through simply having the US increase oil production by 3 million barrels a day.

Russia spends $340 billion a year on its Federal budget (officially) of which 40% is for defense and security. The deficit is estimated at $28 billion or 9% of the budget. Over twenty percent of the Russian people or nearly 30 million people live in poverty and that number is increasing.

On top of lowering the price of oil through expanding US production, the new energy Czar and relevant cabinet members have proposed that the US end the Biden administration shut down of natural gas terminals as well as the restrictions on natural gas production. In this way the administration can supply Europe with all the natural gas currently being imported from  Russia, further depriving  Moscow of billions in government revenue, which we estimate at equivalent of another 15% of the Russian military budget.

Now China is financing  a considerable amount of the Ukraine war and receives the major share of Russia’s oil and gas exports. China and India both  import crude oil; China, Japan and the EU import liquefied natural gas by ship; and the EU, China and Turkey import pipeline gas. The gas the US could supply as well as crude oil, depending on US production and consumption levels, would have the twin effect of lowering prices and thus inflation and interest rates in the United States while also depriving Russia of considerable revenue. Stay tuned. And remember as the price of oil and gas go down, Moscow has less $ to fuel this horrible war against Ukraine.
