We all saw our dear state of Maryland on national news. Certainly not our proudest moments.
SCOTUS is now deciding the case concerning the protections of religious rights of parents in Maryland who want to opt out of lessons gleaned from book titles such as: Born Ready, Intersection Allies, Love Violet, Prince & Knight, and Uncle Bobby's Wedding. These books are part of a curriculum for ages 5-11 in MCPS. Parents are not asking for a ban, merely an opt out.
