*Patrick Sung came to the US in 1961 to attend the University of Tulsa, Oklahoma, majoring in chemical engineering. Upon graduation, he attended the University of Maryland, College Park, where he received his MS and PhD degrees in chemical engineering. Most importantly, he met Marguerite his wife while there.
After finishing graduate school in 1972, he started working for a patent law firm in Washington, DC and attending George Washington Law School at night in 1973. Dr. Sung graduated with a JD degree and passed the Maryland bar examination in 1977. He started private practice in patent law and joined Mobil Oil Corporation in 1985 as a senior patent attorney. He was actively involved in Mobil’s worldwide patent and trademark cases. In 1988, Dr. Sung and his wife, Marguerite, started a home-based business that grew to the extent that he retired from his position of assistant patent counsel at Mobil in 1996 to devote his full attention to the business.
At present, he enjoys traveling the world with Marguerite promoting their business, meeting and making friends wherever they go. The Sungs have two sons, two daughter-in-laws, and two grandsons.
