MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN

By Dennis Melby

I met Lara Trump in Rockville about a week ago. Former Chair Sully Sullivan and Vice Chair Stacey Sauter were also there, and she told us that her father-in-law would be reelected, he’d get over 300 votes in the electoral college, win the popular vote, and we’d know the results that night. She was 100% right

Yet in Montgomery County we’re on one of the blue islands in America. Hispanics, minorities, young people – are all registering and voting Republican across America. Yet here in MoCo most  still cling to the extremes of the far Left. Raise taxes, defund & disrespect police, call your neighbors Nazis and bigots, allow boys in girls bathrooms, sponsor drag show performers to read to kids at public libraries, protect violent illegal immigrant criminals with sanctuary county policies as they prey on their own communities, the list goes on and on.

We were mobbed by supporters Saturday at MCGOP headquarters by folks who just wanted to be with normal people - to not feel the hatred trained on them by the far Left. They’re always amazed when the find there are 100,000 of us here in MoCo - and growing!

And we can celebrate a second win - thanks to the Democrats! The MoCo Two Term Amendment passed by a 2 to one margin. It says any County Executive can serve 2 terms but will have to take a term off before they can run again for that job. While the all-Democrat County Council didn’t want people to be able to vote for it it sailed to approval with Democrat votes. I’m glad the people still have the final say.

If you come by Attman's on Tuesday I'll tell you about election day and all the drama we encountered, it's out last Republican Breakfast Club of the year. And the event for Lara Trump in Rockville, organized by our RNC Committeewoman Nicolee Harrison and others raised over $200,000 for the Trump campaign, here in deep blue Montgomery County! Shows you how seriously folks took the phrase Make America Great Again.

While many of our bids for Senate and Congress came up short we did get some Democrats who'll be good. (I won't name them 'cause that's one way to get their Party to go against them!) We need more common sense and even-handedness in all the County and State offices, from Senate to School Board. To have elected officials of either Party who don't reject ideas out of hand because of your Party registration is a first step to solving today's crisis of confidence facing all levels of government.

Meanwhile we're planning for 2025. We need to have a celebration for the return of President Trump. Keep watching this space, and thanks for being a great American.
