BE AFRAID, BE VERY AFRAID
By Dennis Brent Melby
Our elected officials say “The Republicans are coming to get you – but WE’LL PROTECT YOU. Be afraid…be very afraid!”
Yep, fear is a powerful weapon, and the one-party government here is putting teeth in the fear hoax as they sell it to the public.

Who are the monsters? The elected government in Washington, of course. Why run on local issues when the far-left media will help you to carry on a war of fear. Raise taxes, close streets, let the schools founder but tell folks, ”the government is coming for you, for black and brown people, for folks who speak Spanish, for literally anyone with an accent.” That’s the narrative and the left eat it up.
Just recently they’ve decided that the County Council's leaf blower ban is racist because they think most maintenance staffers are Hispanic (or Lantinx as they deridedly call them). So they modified the ban so the neighbors who they charged with turning in these hard workers could not snap pictures of the “offenders” so that the government couldn’t comb through the records and arrest the one’s who looked Hispanic. I’m not making this up.
But they go further! What else to make folks fearful?
Then, to go further, the county decided to make sure the local cops had different badges, ID Badges that couldn’t be confused with those of the hated ICE agents. Again, be very afraid. ICE is on every corner. Now those elected officials certainly don’t want you shooting them like the immigrant in DC did but just cower in fear at home. Heck, they’ve even cancelled popular Hispanic festivals this year to stoke fear in the Democrat voting community. Be very afraid.
Finally, after leadership elections on the County Council last week, the first order of business was to resurrect an idea from landslide Elrich saying county cops couldn’t help with getting illegal immigrant criminals off the streets, cause the women and men of ICE, (many of them Hispanic and people of color) well, they’re the bad gals and guys. Unbelievable.
We’ve gone from Obama’s Hope and Change to our local Be Very Afraid push. What a quick turnaround. I know what side I’m on. Send the worst of the worst packing, respect hard working legal residents no matter what their color or creed. And STOP THE FEAR pushed by the single party government. That’s the side I’m on. How about you?
