Does what you think really matter in Montgomery County? Most Republicans, blue-collar and moderate Democrats and immigrants who've become citizens don't think so. Some believe that to say our "elected class" skews to the far left is an understatement. Yet we do get national attention for our Republican principles.
Just this year we've been visited by GOP Chair and Trump family member Lara Trump in Rockville, new Senate Majority Leader John Thune in Potomac, former Trump Chief of Staff Reince Priebus in Bethesda, new Trump Border Czar Tom Homan in Gaithersburg, the new Chairman of the House Freedom Caucus Congressman Andy Harris in Bethesda, and a wide array of other important Republicans countywide. Yes, what we think in MoCo matters.
Journalist from far off places are researching why our Republican registrations are increasing, why non-Republicans are identifying as and voting for Republican candidates, and eager to learn why the narrative they push from the Left is not universally accepted in deep blue MoCo. It's a curiosity to them, but it's obvious to us. They are chagrined that people of color, Asian, African and Latino immigrants, gay folks, blue collar working folks, young people and many men are identifying as Republican. But we know a few reasons why:
- Keep men out of women's sports
- Keep boys out of girls bathrooms
- Teach kids STEM, reading, writing, math and science - not Critical Race Theory and DEI nonsense
- Protect teachers and students in schools
- Fund and support the cops
- Vet the folks coming into the country, allow them to come through the door and not over the wall
- Stop fentanyl and human trafficking
- And treat EVERTYONE with respect - not just the party faithful and radical elite
Can you think of others? Write me, important local elections are right around the corner, and we need your input, engagement and support.

I welcome your comments, we're getting a new level of interest from Trump voters and normal Americans, and the world leaders are breathing a collective sigh of relief that the long woke nightmare of Bidenomics and failed international leadership is behind us. I join you in looking forward to 2025.
