THE ONLY POLL THAT MATTERS

Harry Truman after winning the 1948 Presidential election.
Now that we are in the Early Voting season, we are hearing about “the polls.” One candidate is up and then is down. We don’t know how the pollsters are getting reliable information. Maybe it’s not so reliable. One thing is certain – the only poll that really matters is the final one on Election Day. So don’t be lulled into a false sense of security – we can still lose. This is your chance to make your voice heard. Let’s look at some unexpected outcomes in past elections.
From The Conversation: “The question looms in nearly every U.S. presidential election, even in this year’s race: Could the polls be wrong? If they are, they likely will err in unique fashion. The history of election polling says as much."

High Speed Rail and California Follies
We definitely have a banana head as Secretary of Transportation. Otherwise known as Mayor Pete of South Bend, Indiana, the home of Nore Dame (Go Irish!) Mayor Pete was telling us recently how great it is that children born today will benefit from high speed rail. Well, here is the actual story vs the progressive fairy tale and indeed it all starts and finishes in the great state of California Dreamen!!

What was he thinking?
By Lori Jaffe
In 2021, County Executive Marc Elrich ran for re-election touting his work to protect affordable housing in MoCo. And three years later, at his October 10th Media Briefing, (23:50) he is still talking about the problem. Fighting for his political life after decades of failed policies, Elrich has come out against the Attainable Housing Strategies Initiative. Although presented as an attempt to “be part of the solution to the county’s housing woes,” this initiative is essentially an attempt by the Planning Board and Council to put MoCo into compliance with the United Nation’s 15-Minute City concept. But Elrich’s 2019 “Promoting Community Trust” sanctuary policy made the county’s affordable housing crisis even worse. Early Voting starts next week. Be sure to send a message to Mr. Elrich – Vote For Question A to hold him to two terms.

VOTE EARLY FOR POSITIVE CHANGE
Hard work, common sense and patriotism is making a comeback. I can feel the desire for a change, back to normalcy, respect and dignity. Even here in bluest of the blue Montgomery County I meet folks who are just fed up with the inability to get ahead. Grocery bills, energy bills, random crime, disrespect between neighbors and a sense for the return to normalcy.
We have the best candidates, folks have seen the disruption of the last four years, both nationally and locally, and they want control of their own lives back. They’re tired of being told what car they can drive, whether they can be warm in the winter, how guilty they should feel and whether their kids belong to them or the union teachers at their local school.

I know you’ve heard it too, it’s so important to have a civil and frank conversation with your family and neighbors, and they’ll most often agree (often ever so quietly – remember, we’re still a one Party State!)
I can feel the positive change coming. Thanks for voting, get your vote in NOW, don’t wait til the end when something comes up and you regret not voting.
I’ll celebrate with you after the election. We’ll deserve it, both sides, all America and all of MoCo is ready for a change. Let’s make it happen.
Hope to see you in person soon!
