Hi Dennis, Thank you for honoring the memory of Senator Lindsey Graham in a thoughtful and beautiful manner.
You also reminded readers of the people who are quick to use repulsive political hostility and bigotry to defame an honorable person who championed the rights of all women.
May Senator Lindsey Graham rest in peace.

DON'T EVEN TRY
Last week when I spoke to the Maryland Hispanic Caucus in Gaithersburg I got a lot of pushback from other Republicans around the state.
I said in Montgomery County we need to talk to both unaffiliated and Democrat voters, the moderate and conservative folks who are worried about the direction of their party. We have great candidates for a number of offices - many of them immigrant Americans who have lived under socialist and communist authoritarian governments which pretty much destroyed their societies and countries. "We can't let it happen here!" they all say.
TALK TO THE DEMOCRATS
"Don't bother," some said. "The Democrats will NEVER vote for us! We've tried."
I think we can.
I think we must. Our future and the future of our democracy are at stake.
Tell me what you think. Let me know at [email protected]. And take this survey, let's see what the majority thinks. (You'd be SURPRISED how many Democrats are avid readers of our newsletter - The Party Line.)

Platner, Graham and Kavanaugh
All politics is local according to former Speaker Tip O’Neill, and in MoCo more so. We lost Senator Lindsey Graham over the weekend, and it’s a great loss.
Not only was he a local fixture for years in the greater DC area (you can have dinner and attend events in Georgetown, Bethesda, or Rosslyn just as easy) our local residents are spotlighted nationally all the time.
Remember the Senator’s outrage at the slurs and unfounded accusations against MoCo resident Justice Brett Kavanaugh when the Democrats (led by then Senator Kamala Harris) said that she believed the woman who accused Brett Kavanaugh of sexual misconduct? Remember how effective Kavanaugh has been in giving women and girls opportunities in the community and in the Courts? Remember when he was targeted for assassination?
I do, and I remember the Senator’s forceful rebuttal to that Party – the same party that last week praised Graham Platner until it became clear he’d lose to a
sitting woman Senator – then threw him under the bus. All the allegations had been forgiven, even charges of assault by a Republican woman – until a Democrat woman came forward and gave them the reason to ask him to quit so they could replace him at the last minute. Even Senators Sanders and Warren, big defenders, came on board at the end, but I digress.
The Chevy Chase Kavanaugh family will miss Lindsey Graham, the National, South Carolina, and Montgomery County Republican families will miss Senator Graham, and the far left National Socialist Democrats will both trash him and say good riddance. The far left press and the cesspool of social media have already started.
Let’s choose the right side. Let’s honor his legacy, give condolences to his family, and not put up with the horrible language of the far left critics. I thank our moderate Democrat neighbors for their condolences. Stop the partisan hatred. Time is short. Let’s put our country and our world back together again.

Three spirits review American candidates. *
By Lori Jaffe
Every two years, the spirits of Karl Marx, Vladimir Lenin and Joseph “Uncle Joe” Stalin come together to review American candidates. This year was no exception. What follows is a newly declassified transcript of their communications related to the elections in America and Montgomery County in particular.
Karl: "Comrades, I hope you have been gratified by the historic changes we have seen lately."
Uncle Joe: "Yes, it has been very gratifying, especially with the election of Mamdani in a strategic city like New York."

Vladimir: "Yes, it won’t be long before it is totally unrecognizable!"

Dear Mr. Melby: thank you for another great article! Thank you for articulating on what we are seeing and thinking. The Democrats have a way of twisting the truth and even Pope Leo is guilty. Keep up the good work and speaking/writing the truth. God Bless America,
