I DID IT!
Will You?
Like most Republicans, I like to vote on Election Day, in person, at my local polling place with my neighbors. Neighbors of all colors, creeds and political persuasions – but united in their desire that the majority decide.
Instead, I voted yesterday, during Early Voting. I just wanted to make sure I got counted. And since it’s what I preach to all voters, I felt guilty about not taking my own advice.
We face a crucial choice – Democracy or Socialism. I can’t think of a government that went to a one-party socialist government and then went back to Democracy without a violent instance to make that happen.
Vote by November 3
China and Russia went that way. Europe has crowds pushing in that direction - with weeks of burning, looting and political violence. Once one-party Socialist rule happens, it’s very hard to have choices again. You've seen that in the Palestinian territory, Nicaragua, Cuba and most recently Venezuela before we intervened. America is too vital to the world to let that happen.
We have some of the best GOP candidates we've had in years. Great choices. Check them out HERE. Yes, I voted for mostly Republicans – no surprise there. But I also voted for a few Democrats and one Non-partisan candidate, folks I knew would do a good job. I hope you do that too.
You'd be surprised that so many of the successful Democrat politicans are former Republicans - they changed their registration to be elected - and it worked. But a few of them signed up to be "Democrat Socialists." Choose carefully.
Vote by Nov 3. See our sample ballot for the folks we recommend. If we have no recommendation, vote for the best Democrat…or write in the name of someone you’d like to see there, …or leave it blank and go on.
Vote your conscience. Vote like your future depends on it. t does.
Help us return to sanity, affordability and common sense before it’s too late. More civility, dial back the rhetoric and get a little progress going for ALL our great folks in Montgomery County.
Unhappy Democrats, Republicans and Non-Affiliated are all in the same boat.
Let's work together. You’ll be pleased with the results…I guarantee it.
Tell me what you think, I want to know. Is extreme partisanship the answer? Will you vote early or only on election day? What do you think the outcome will be after the election? Let me know at [email protected]

SULLY SAYS
Taxpayers Deserve Answers Without a $51,000 Price Tag.
Who receives our tax dollars? Montgomery County taxpayers should be able to get a clear answer to that basic question.

The County publishes an online spending portal where residents can explore and download its disbursement register. I encourage every voter to examine the County check register: https://spending.data.montgomerycountymd.gov/#!/year/2024/explore/1/service and see where our money goes.
When I reviewed those records, I found more than 50,000 disbursements to recipients identified by numbers instead of names, effectively anonymous to the taxpayers examining the register. My finding of tens of thousands of unidentified payments has also been reported publicly.

No, waiting for early voting to start next weekend. But will be voting all Republican down the ballot. Including writing in Republicans for offices not challenged by the party. So if you suggestions for those offices please let me know. The web doesn't have much.

Thank the working folks
When you go to vote make sure you thank the folks working the polls. Outside, many people are trying to make sure you have all the info you need. A smile and nice word are so appreciated – they don’t mean to swarm you…they’re dedicated to their candidate or Party so a smile is disarming and well meant.
The same for the folks inside. Although only a few are very partisan most are just there to do a great job, make sure you get to vote and that your vote truly counts. A “Thank You” goes a long way there too…especially at the end of a long busy day. Treat them the way you’d like to be treated.
Now…on the other hand there are a few creeps. Not many, but enough.
We’ve had folks making complaints at the Polls, even fisticuffs during the Primary within the same party.
Now we have opposing candidates in the General election who try to intimidate and harass their opponents. We've had that recently in Damascus and other sites. With no evidence, folks go into their own corners and believe and blame the other side.
Take allegations with a grain of salt – unless there’s proof, accept political mischief as just that, a fabrication to get a few more votes.
The elections are over soon, then the exceedingly long count in Maryland, days later. Stay tuned for the final results, and hang in there.
What's your experience voting? Good, bad, tell me at [email protected]
