Public Hearing: Maryland Redistricting Reform Commission

Gov. Larry Hogan’s Maryland Redistricting Reform Commission will be in Montgomery County Tuesday, Oct. 10 with an evening public hearing on gerrymandering and redistricting reform in Maryland.

The commission’s report and recommendations, issued in late 2015, have won acclaim from the state’s leading newspapers and from citizen organizations involved in redistricting reform. The commission continues to gather information and public input in light of new legislative and legal developments in Maryland which, along with the soon-upcoming 2020 census and consideration of the issue by the U.S. Supreme Court, will keep the issue on the public agenda.
