Wes Moore's plan to gerrymander Maryland, silence Republican opposition, and disenfranchise voters has hit a MASSIVE roadblock: Senate President Bill Ferguson.
President Ferguson, along with a majority of the Maryland Senate, is opposed to the gerrymandering bill and has publicly said it will NOT pass.
Now, Wes Moore and National Democrats are turning up the heat, trying to pressure him into backing down.
Governor Moore used his State of the State Address to publicly call out President Ferguson and has demanded that he not "suppress democracy."
House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries is calling state legislators and is pressuring the Senate President to "change his mind" in "the next few days."
Democrat activists are even threatening a primary challenge against Ferguson and any other Senate Democrat that does not comply with their demands.
Now is the time to make our voices heard and urge President Ferguson, and the Maryland Senate, to stand with Marylanders and HOLD THE LINE against gerrymandering>>>

House Republicans Issue Statement on Vote of Governor’s Redistricting Commission
(Annapolis, MD) – House Republicans today issued a statement on the vote of the Governor’s Redistricting Commission to move forward with a gerrymandered map.
“The Redistricting Commission’s vote today confirmed what we have been saying all along: that this Commission had nothing to do with fairness, nothing to do with the wants and needs of our citizens, and, quite frankly, nothing to do with Maryland,” said House Minority Leader Jason Buckel. “Instead, this Commission has everything to do with D.C. partisan politics and the desires of the Democratic National Committee. This Commission was merely a drawn-out political sham with a pre-determined outcome: to rid Maryland of any Republican representation in Congress and disenfranchise voters in Western Maryland and the Eastern Shore. Nothing drives this home more than their absurd end product.”
“Maryland has a long and storied history of being one of the worst gerrymandered states in America, and the Commission’s actions today further solidifies that legacy,” said House Minority Whip Jesse Pippy. “It is a shame that, with all the challenges facing Maryland – budget deficits, children dying in state custody, Marylanders unable to afford their electric bills, that this has been the Governor’s priority. It is outrageous.”

If you're not familiar with the Governor's commission, it's a hyper-partisan group of high-ranking Maryland Democrats that are being tasked with re-drawing Maryland's Congressional lines to make every district in the state lean-Democratic.
Their mission is to gerrymander Maryland to eliminate our only strong Republican district and ensure Republicans will struggle to compete in any Congressional races, even though 30-40% of Marylanders consistently vote Republican!
The commission is hosting public hearings because they are required to give Marylanders the opportunity to give input. We need to FLOOD this hearing with conservative voices. We will not allow them to steal our representation, disenfranchise our communities, and rig our elections.
