Registration Deadline Nears

VOTER REGISTRATION AND PARTY AFFILIATION CHANGE DEADLINE NEARS

Is your voter registration up to date?  Is your residential address current? Is your political party affiliation, correct?  Do you wish to change your political party affiliation or make any other changes to your voter registration? Montgomery County citizens who wish to vote in the 2022 Gubernatorial Primary Election need to complete and submit their voter registration application no later than Tuesday, June 28, 2022, by 9:00 p.m. 

Maryland holds closed party primaries. Only registered voters affiliated with the Democratic or Republican parties receive a ballot for that party. Unaffiliated voters will vote only for candidates for the Board of Education.

Registering to vote requires that you are a US citizen, live in Montgomery County, Maryland, and are or will be at least 18 years of age on or before November 8, 2022. Registered voters can review/update their voter record by texting CHECK to 77788, or https://voterservices.elections.maryland.gov/VoterSearch or call 240-777-8500 to verify their voter registration using the automated phone system or for assistance.

Individuals who are not registered but have a valid Maryland Driver’s license, Permit or MVA ID can register by texting VOTE to 77788 or at https://voterservices.elections.maryland.gov/OnlineVoterRegistration/InstructionsStep1.

Individuals without a Maryland Driver’s license, Permit or MVA ID can visit www.777vote.org to download a voter registration application to mail to the Board of Elections, or call 240-777- 8500 for assistance.

SE ACERCA EL PLAZO DE LA FECHA LÍMITE PARA REGISTRARSE PARA VOTAR O CAMBIAR SU AFILIACIÓN POLÍTICA

¿Está su registro al día? ¿Está su afiliación política correcta? ¿Desea cambiar su afiliación política o hacer algún cambio a su registro? Los residentes del Condado de Montgomery que desean votar en la Elección Primaria Gubernamental del 2022 necesitan completar y enviar su aplicación a más tardar el martes, 28 de junio del 2022 a las 9:00 p.m.

Maryland celebra primarias cerradas. Solo los votantes registrados y afiliados con los partidos Demócrata o Republicano reciben una papeleta para ese partido. Los votantes no afiliados votarán solo por los candidatos a la Junta de Educación.

Para ser un votante registrado, debe de ser ciudadano estadounidense, vivir en el Condado de Montgomery, Maryland y tener al menos 18 años el 8 de noviembre de 2022 o antes.
