School Board Elections
Three seats on the Montgomery County Board of Education will be elected in 2020. The Board of Education is non-partisan – candidates don’t run as Republicans, Democrats or by party. All voters may vote for them and the positions are compensated. The deadline for filing is Friday, January 24.
This year, as usual there is a lot on the table. Many groups state that right now the Board is making decisions about where your children will attend school and are considering a complete redo of school district boundaries that may result in a very, very long bus ride for your kids. You or someone you know might consider running for this non-partisan elected position within Montgomery County.
