I’ve owned an architectural engineering design firm in Rockville for over 30 years. I’ve owned my firm through five presidents, five wars, 9/11 and the explosion of AI. One thing that I can tell you is:
Government does not create jobs … Businesses do.
We all know that Montgomery County has had poor job growth. Businesses and jobs are leaving the County due to the laws and regulations here.
I offer that Montgomery County should follow Virgina where they used AI to reduce redundant regulations by over 26%.
Reducing redundant regulations means less time spent on overhead, more time being productive which translates into more profit. Businesses go where they can make a profit, not where there are more taxes and regulations.
The Government’s job is to create pathways for businesses to grow and thrive, to hire workers, to employ our citizens, to pay reasonable taxes, and to protect our citizens.
When the political class and legacy candidates say that the Government will bring jobs to the County, it demonstrates a fundamental lack of understanding of what motivates business… being able to make a profit, not more Government taxes and regulations.
The political class and legacy candidates talk but don’t deliver.
If they knew how to bring businesses and jobs back to the County, they and their mentors would have done it already.
It’s time to elect candidates that have real world business experience and can bring private sector business to the County.
