THE IMPORTANCE AND IMPACT OF DADS
By Edward E. Bartlett, PhD
The United States has the highest rate of fatherlessness of any country in the world. Out of the 73 million children in the U.S., 23% are without a father in the home. This crisis has harmful, far-reaching effects on a broad range of social indicators such as academic achievement, drug abuse, mental health, and crime.
Our epidemic of father absence didn’t happen by accident. For years, Leftists have pushed for a broad range of measures designed to stereotype, marginalize, and remove fathers from their families. Take domestic violence, for instance. The Centers for Disease Control reports that women are more likely to be perpetrators of domestic violence than men. But Leftists push for policies that have created a false stereotype of “abusive fathers.” READ THE STUDY HERE>
Fathers are the backbone of our communities. Without a dad, you don’t have a family. Without a family, you don’t have a society.
