VOTE FOR TWO TERMS
By Lori Jaffe
This is it! Mail-in ballots will be sent out starting next week. Montgomery County Executive Marc Elrich has been in public office for 35 years. It’s time to end his reign. Montgomery County Perspective reports that Elrich plans to fight the two term amendment. It was this tenacity that helped him win a Democrat primary run off in 2022 by just 35 votes. You need to vote and tell your neighbors to Vote FOR the Question: County Executive – Term Limit – Two Consecutive Terms.
As Clean Slate MoCo reports, there are many reasons to term limit Marc Elrich. We think he has lost touch with (0:14) reality. He puts the Left’s interests above the interests of the people of Montgomery County. We list below the reasons why we seek to hold him to two terms.
Through his Executive Order, he has created the conditions in which criminal illegal migrants have flooded into our county, causing great fear, great harm and even death among us.
He has made friendly overtures to malevolent actors, who have been accused of human rights violations, asking them to establish businesses within our own borders.
He has sought to cut back funding for our police department. With many police officers leaving due to low morale and low pay, our county has seen an increase in crime.
He has removed the Student Resource Officers from our schools, making our children even more vulnerable to threats.
He has (1:49) supported the taking away of parental authority over what can be taught to our children.
He has failed to follow the Council’s own adopted fiscal policy and has caused the county to face a structural deficit.
He followed the Left’s policies without doing his due diligence to confirm that those policies would benefit the taxpayers and would be within our ability to support them financially. He sought to impose additional taxes on us to support his misguided vision.
He has promoted an initiative that favored his wealthy supporters while forcing the rest of us to pay for it.
Because of all his actions listed above, we declare Marc Elrich to be unfit for the position of County Executive. He must be removed from power. Vote FOR the Question: County Executive – Term Limit – Two Consecutive Terms.
