Young Republican Stepping Up

Meet Arthur Didinsky, the newest chairman of the Young Republicans in Montgomery County! Arthur is a  23-year old who grew up in Potomac and earned a Bachelor’s in Political Science from the University of Colorado at Boulder after graduating from Churchill High School. Professional and politically passionate, he currently works on Capitol Hill as a staff assistant for Congressman Ryan Zinke (R-MT).

In addition to his new status with the YRs, Arthur is the Youth Coordinator for the MCGOP Central Committee, as well as a regular contributor to our weekly newsletter. When asked about his goals for YR, he stated, “I want to see the organization grow and hold regular events. Each generation must fight for liberty in their own right, and it’s my hope to direct the club for that purpose in as many ways as possible. Most importantly, I want to combine the institutional and historical knowledge from the Central Committee members with the energy, tenacity, and innovative thinking of young people.”

Not shy about speaking up on the issues, Arthur recently joined with Central Committee member Laura Benson to film a humorous, short video clip spoofing Marc Elrich’s outrageously expensive and underutilized bike lanes (https://youtu.be/tiVGqaGtHIU). When asked what his professional goals are, Arthur unequivocally stated that, “My foremost priority is learning how the party and our government works and operates. From the municipal to the national levels, I’d like to learn as much as I can so I can do as much as possible.”

What motivates him? The hope of fulfilling a longtime dream of one day serving the people of Montgomery County as an elected official. So far as we can tell, he’s off to a strong start!
