YOUR FEEDBACK MATTERS

Thanks to those who sent feedback! Here are some comments that we received last week:

Everyone who is here illegally must be deported. It's OK to do criminals first because they are a threat to our safety, but non-criminals found while looking for criminals must also be deported.
ICE is doing an amazing job. Those who are breaking the law trying to cripple ICE's ability to do its job must be caught and punished according to the law. I am disappointed that this is not being done well. Those funding it and the government officials encouraging it are getting a pass on their insurrection.

A great story about Tom Homan. Under appreciated public servant.

Some thoughts about responding to issues:

Immigration:  Need to distinguish between legal and illegal. Democrats try to blur the line. Need to challenge those attempts.

Affordability: Typically, Democrats spout non-specific goals. We need to challenge them and demand specifics on how to make life affordable. They are vulnerable on energy policy where they implement costly and ineffective policies. We need to challenge with specifics and demand cost/ benefit analyses: inefficient wind and solar projects that also may raise national security risks, as in off-shore turbines.

Environmental policies: Again, cost benefit analyses. Example: cost of bike lanes on Old Georgetown where rarely, if ever, does anyone see a biker. Cost? Benefit? The fact is that environmental policies in Maryland increase costs, but have no discernible effects on a global environment. But if such evidence exists, the state should provide that evidence, not conclusory, feel-good statements.

Democracy: Leaving aside that we live in a Republic, we support a vibrant democracy. Instead, we have one-party rule that is failing the citizens. Gerrymandering should be opposed by all true lovers of liberty as anti-democratic. Using Texas as an excuse ignores that Marylanders are not Texans.
