Hi, Largely agree with overall Republican policies - this county moved me right of center having been raised as a liberal Dem in NY.
I appreciate your optimism re Republicans but this will always be a Dem County and it’s getting worse …. Jawando worse than Elrich etc
It seems to make more sense - at least in the short term - to switch to vote Democrat in the primaries to at least get someone more centrist - aka Friedson for the most recent County Exec. Wells is great - but has no chance … I literally messaged Friedson to ask if he would support her - but no - he is of course part of the Dem machine . The low primary turnout by Dems gave him a chance - especially if Rs and Is temporarily switched .

Dear Dennis, I like, very much, your article in the latest "The Party Line". A rational voter would be convinced immediately. However, we face a large voter population that has been and continues to be under the grips of a propaganda machine. In addition, from working at polls in 2024, many just take the Dem voter guide and vote without considering the alternative. Is there anything that can be done to change the culture?
Here is a wild suggestion. How about the Republican candidate, say for governor (it could be at any level) challenge the Dem to a public debate. No, not a debate where a panel asks questions but a 1 on 1 debate where each speaks uninterrupted for 10 min (mike turned off for the opponent) and they go back and forth for say an hour. The challenge is made publically even accusing the dem of cowardice if he refuses.
I believe there is no need to make any deal with media. All one needs is to rent or use a large hall for spectators and make enough of a ruckus that media will want to come on their own. Strong public statements following the example of Pres. Trump, will be reported and the dems will be shamed into participating.
The system needs to be shaken up otherwise the dems will win again. The Republicans have nothing to lose.

This weekend, a young lady proudly proclaimed to a table of legally immigrated from South America republicans and me that she is a “Socialist” and loves what is happening in nyc. She works on capitol hill and has turned her Catholic, very Republican boyfriend into a Democrat. We need Charlie Kirk to counter the feminist.
Also, he proudly sent me the video where aoc is interviewing someone about the data centers. We cannot stand her. They loved talking about the water in front of the Lincoln memorial. He also talked about liking the libertarian viewpoint.

I printed out a copy of your article to share with our central committee here in Montrose, CO. We are still a predominately Republican voting county. The vote continues to get diluted as many people switch to unaffiliated and people leave states like CA because they dislike the government in CA and other states only to try to recreate their environment here in Montrose.
