WE'RE ON THE RIGHT SIDE

Saturday, I saw General John Teichert, a great patriot, Air Force Brigadier General (retired), former Republican candidate and author, at a Women’s Club meeting at GOP headquarters in Rockville. He shared his message of hope for America and optimism for the future.
I assured him and the club members that we were on the right side, as a great Party, an alternative to the woke socialist movement that’s captured the county and State. And a moderate voice in a far-left single party run county and state. A great example is their lack of respect for our police and law enforcement personnel. Remember the Democrat movement to Defund the Police? In DC they even painted it on the road across from the White House. It caused havoc, disrespect and hatred towards the cops for years. Here in MoCo, they even took the protective officers from the schools, making them less safe and more dangerous for the kids just trying to get a safe education protected from bad students or outsiders. On the County Council, there are a couple of members who simply hate the cops – and constantly show it.
Back to the Women’s Clubs – they’re one of the few organizations who show they care. For years they’ve visited police stations to show community support, often bringing snacks, lunch and fellowship. They’re one of the few, if not only, public organizations who do this, and the cops love it. They’re so grateful for a show of support by the public. It’s important and again puts us on the right side.
Last week I asked the Republican Central Committee for the authority to donate some funds from the Chairman’s Club to the women’s clubs Back the Blue project. We made the contribution this week. It’s important, it’s welcome, and it’s kind of the least we can do to acknowledge that these men and women put their lives and reputations on the line every day for us and our community.

Yep, we still need the money for the 40,000 sample ballots, but this is important too. If you’d like to help me restock the fund, please donate HERE or at the site further down in this newsletter. And thanks for joining us and being on the right side.

A Night with Dr. Taylor

I had the opportunity to attend the fireside chat with Dr. Taylor regarding Option H. As a Wootton grad this issue is personal to me.
Although I give him credit for standing in front of a very hostile audience of parents and community leaders, I found some of his responses disingenuous and dismissive.
The crowd was strongly favoring keeping Wootton at Wootton, however it appeared obvious that he had made-up his mind that Wootton would be closing.
I had the opportunity to talk to several parents and community members about Option H. Their concerns where chronicled during a December meeting where they used affinity mapping to document their concerns and included many high intensity comments, Including:
Direct Quotes:
"Many of us bought our homes because we want to live within walking distance of Wootton."
“If Wootton is unsafe, why use it as a holding school?"
“If you have to do a phased renovation to Wootton as a holding school, why not do it with the current population?”
“New admin building cost: "$85-350M."
"Our house values will go way down if we lose the neighborhood high school."
My solution: We should look at a phased, in place, renovation using a P3 – Public Private partnership contracting strategy where the compensation of the private partner is tied to the success of the project.
My name is Reardon Sullivan, and I support keeping Wooten Wooten. I need your help to bring common sense and accountability back to Montgomery County.
Welcome Spring!
