Your Feedback Matters!

Thanks to those who sent feedback! Here are some comments that we received last week:
At a dinner table last night with four progressive family members deriding what appears to be recent control over immigration I asked how many of them have illegals cutting their lawns and cleaning houses? That shut down the derision immediately. Not paying even the MoCo minimum wage to these illegals I wonder how much they reflect many democrats of means that oppress these poor immigrants.
I learned last week at a national church conference in Atlanta some of these custodial building cleaning women are also double shift working as sex slaves in the DMV area thinking this is life in America.

Sully Says: Are Business-Friendly Neighbors Pulling Ahead?

Businesses are essential to our community because they create jobs and strengthen our local economy. This article includes several charts comparing Montgomery County (MoCo) to other jurisdictions in the DMV across key economic indicators and the results are troubling.
https://montgomeryperspective.com/.../moco-vs-the-region.../
We have all seen the statistics showing that businesses are leaving Montgomery County. With increasing regulations and mandates, many companies find it easier to operate—and make money—in neighboring jurisdictions. So why would they stay here?
A few important facts:
- The laws and mandates passed by the County Executive and County Council are driving residents and businesses out of the County. Those who have the ability to leave are doing so, resulting in both a wealth drain and a brain drain.
- The average wage in Montgomery County is declining as higher-paying employers relocate elsewhere.
- Montgomery County has effectively been redlined for development, with no multi-family projects currently in the pipeline.
Because businesses form the foundation of our tax base, their departure is especially concerning. As they leave, the tax burden will increasingly fall on residents like you and me.
