AUGUST 8-16 Montgomery County Ag Fair – MCGOP Booth (late morning thru evening). Candidates welcome. MCGOP Committeewomen Martha Schaerr & Laura Benson are coordinating our very popular political Big Top! We need folks to welcome visitors and sign up fair-goers for Republican activities. You can volunteer, students can volunteer, Candidates and their reps can volunteer.

Cheer on the Party, sign the petition to Stop the Spend (limit MoCo spending) get some literature, maybe meet a candidate and talk to other patriots working to get our Country, State and County on a path that serves We the People!

Is your head spinning? Mine is. It’s hard to keep up with all the crazy changes so rapidly happening in MoCo.

I’d like to be on the beach with a cold drink listening to the waves – but I’m working with the Party to put us back on a path to safety, sanity and prosperity.

If you think August is a slow relaxing month, think again. Look at our schedule – we’ve got a lot going on. We’re already planning for Autumn. Our Clubs are working, the State and Local Central Committees are working – and folks, leaders in the community are deciding to run for office in 2026

And scan though ALL these August events, we’re so active, there’s something for everyone. Help us at the MoCo Fair, look forward to our Club meetings, the Republican Breakfast Club and the MoCo muster.

Last year we had Reince Priebus, Sebastian Gorka, Tom Homan, Senator John Thune, Congressman Andy Harris and Lara Trump visit Montgomery County. We’re busy scheduling great speakers for our October MCGOP Convention. Shoot me an idea of what you’d like us to do.  And keep cool!

At the July 22^nd Montgomery County Council meeting, many of the attendees expressed their frustration with the Council’s decision to move forward with “More Housing N.O.W.” legislation, specifically Zoning Text Amendment (ZTA) 25-02. “More Housing N.O.W.” was proposed by Councilmembers Andrew Friedson and Natali Fani-Gonzalez. At the meeting, Fani-Gonzalez stated, (2:26:25) “This zoning text amendment was crafted to input that we received from the community.” Many members of the audience expressed their dissatisfaction with her statement. Why were they upset?

Beware of the Anti ICE Scammers!

The mainstream media, controlled by the left, is perpetrating another scam on the public. They’ve seen that the majority of Hispanic and legal immigrant community has moved to vote Republican on the national level and they’re publishing made-up stories to try to drive them back into the Democrat camp.

Just last week two came to mind. Read about them here.

In both cases allegedly respected publications and outlets picked the story up and re-posted it. (They were great stories…but fake! Never happened.) I’ve had so many families of legal immigrants tell me that the Republican Party is losing support in the immigrant community because so many families believe these fake stories. Remember, a lie can go around the world before the truth has a chance to be heard!

Here’s what Tom Homan told me.

Last year, at lunch in Gaithersburg at our last MCGOP Convention, he told me that President Trump said to get the worst of the worst off the streets – and we’re talking about some pretty bad characters – murderers, rapists, child abusers, drug dealers and gang members.  But, he went on to say, if you’re hanging out with them and have also come in illegally you probably will be picked up too, and face those consequences.  If your spouse or partner is a drug dealer or child trafficker, you have a choice to make (just like a legal US citizen) – stop putting up with that and stop enabling their heinous acts.  Better they’re jailed by the US cops and turned over to the Feds.

I agree, get rid of the worst of the worst. Stories about folks around them also deported are often fake stories (like the "Maryland Man" our Senator had margaritas with in El Salvador.) We need to get hold of our borders and restore order in America. Most of the world is experiencing the same thing, and both developed and developing countries are making tough decisions today because of the surge of illegal immigration. And yes, if you’ve been a good resident, if you accept the self-deporting bonus and airfare, you have a great chance of being readmitted legally.

The U.S. still hasn’t caught up with former President Obama’s deportation numbers of illegal aliens – the most of any President.

Yes, the MoCo Republicans still back the blue

The Montgomery County GOP partnered with the MDGOP Hispanic group and the Upper Montgomery County Republican Women’s club to wave the flag at two Hispanic festivals last weekend. While promoting GOP candidates Chris Burnett, Robin Ficker and John Myrick, we were successful jn registering new voters, getting “Stop the Spend” ballot petition signatures and discussing the dignity act. And of course we were happy to talk to the Press. So glad to have so many Hispanics and Latinos return to the Republican Party. MORE PHOTOS HERE

That is especially true when the general assembly and governor have a constitutional mandate to approve a balanced annual state budget and a new administration in Washington.
