Montgomery County Young Republicans is Recruiting!

The YR Club serves as a platform for Young Republicans to regularly network and connect for social and political events across the county, state, and the DMV area. We hope to see more YRs at our gatherings in the coming months, especially as we head into another important election year!

We are entering election season. This means a new round of gas lighting by political candidates.

Take for instance Evan Glass proudly proclaiming success of the County “MOVE Act” stating that 55 businesses have moved / expanded in Montgomery County. He fails to mention that many businesses have left the County including the defense contractor Raytheon, Clark Construction and their $4 billion in revenue. Most recently, AstraZeneca the pharmaceutical giant has elected to invest in a multi-billion dollar facility in Virginia, after Marc Elrich touts the county as a bio-tech hub. Way to go guys

This year’s Montgomery County Agricultural Fair brought in visitors from the DC Metropolitan area as well as other surrounding states. There was plenty of fun and food to enjoy. The MCGOP tent always stands out as something different that fair goers may choose to experience---whether it is giving us a thumbs up, stopping in to chat or passing by with some other expression.

You pay an average of 12.4% both employee and employer for social security.

$6300 goes to Uncle Sam, half of which is deductible by the employer.

But you pay income and Social Security tax on 100% of that that portion of your salary that is withheld.
