REPEATED CRIMES ARE NOT MISTAKES

By Hessie L. Harris

Brian Schwalb, DC Attorney General, is wrong in his soft on youth crime policies.  He has said, “Kids are kids, and when you’re talking about teenagers in particular, ---their brains are developing, their minds are developing, and they are biologically prone to make mistakes.”

With proper parenting, toddlers learn the difference between right and wrong.   Years ago, my then two-year old niece was going through the stage of putting things in her mouth. Most of the very young do that, especially because that is their primary sense.  It was the first one.

At any rate, her father would always stop her from engaging in the “taste test” by saying, “Don’t put that in your mouth!  You don’t know where it has been!”

One day he had been out grocery shopping and she was with him.  As he approached his front door, he had a bag under one arm, and was carrying her in the other and he put his key ring handle between his teeth intending that to be temporary.   Whereupon, his daughter said, “Daddy take those key out of your mouth!  You don’t know where those keys have been!”   She pointed her finger at him emulating his lectures to her on the subject.

SECOND AMENDMENT RIGHTS WIN

Last week, Marylanders received a slight reprieve from the radically unconstitutional restrictions that SB1 placed on legal, permitted gun owners. The injunction given through Kipke v. Moore and Novotny v. Moore partially blocked SB1, but also allowed parts of SB1. Read the order from Sept. 29, 2023, here.

With that said, this fight is just beginning. Governor Wes Moore and the far-left Democrats in Annapolis will stand by idly while violent crime rates in Maryland climb, but they will be relentless in their pursuit to strip law-abiding citizens of their Second Amendment right to self-defense. It is not enough to rely on the courts to stop this madness, we need to get these Democrats out and elect more Republicans to positions of lawmaking.

CONSERVATIVE VALUES DEFINE THE THRIVING HISPANIC COMMUNITY

By Harold Maldonado

As we celebrate Hispanic heritage month, we observe the patriotic contributions this community has made to the fabric of our country. From culture, music, science, conservative family values, and most importantly, we appreciate the Patriotic fervor in which Hispanics have served in our armed forces. Another trait that makes Hispanics – the largest minority in the country (19%) – unique is their rich diversity within their communities. From Central America, the Caribbean, and further down into South America, the Hispanic community is not a homogeneous group, but rather a diverse ethnic group that incorporates the original natives from the continents, blacks, and people that have European roots and a combination of peoples that underpins the rich and colorful culture.

MAYOR OF DALLAS BECOMES A REPUBLICAN

Of the 10 most populous cities in the United States only one has a Republican Mayor, Dallas, Texas. Mayor Eric Johnson recently changed parties from Democrat to Republican.

“This is hardly a red wave. But it is clear that the nation and its cities have reached a time for choosing,” Johnson wrote. “And the overwhelming majority of Americans who call our cities home deserve to have real choices—not ‘progressive’ echo chambers—at city hall.”

TRUST US - THEY SAID

Have you been following the scandals in the Montgomery County Public Schools?

Suffice it to say that the same School Board that said "Trust Us" we won't let the schools sexualize your kids - apparently allowed a school principal to sexualize his teachers, staff and students for over a decade...and then promoted him!

"Trust us" doesn't cut it with MCPS.

While people are innocent until proven guilty and the allegations in a major paper like the "Democracy Dies in Darkness" Washington Post aren't always true, the story is so detailed with so many sources and specific complaints it's even caused the School Board and County government to take it seriously.

  • No wonder teachers and staff are afraid to speak out.
  • No wonder Parents are demonstrating by the hundreds regarding "opting out" their kids from "storybooks" about sex for K-5th graders.
  • No wonder STEM education takes a back seat to social activism at MCPS.

It is utterly amazing how the seven Democrat women who run the MC Board of Education and the Democrat woman and Prince Georges County resident who is the MCPS Superintendent neglect situations like this while pursuing political agendas. Do they care about educating our children at all?

We must pay attention to public education. Even if you don't have kids, it's where our citizenry comes from. Are we turning out great citizens supportive of each other, or kids who see themselves as confused victims with little or no skills who demand more from society than they provide?

2024 is a School Board election year,  stay informed.

Read a synopsis of the allegations in MoCo 360 here, and below.

Republican Appeal to Latinos

Why the Republican Party appeals to more and more Latino voters.

By Dr. Mariela Roca

The Republican Party's increasing appeal to Latino voters can be attributed to several key factors. First and foremost, the party's emphasis on conservative values often aligns with the social and religious values held by many Latino Americans. Issues such as faith, family, & freedom resonate with a significant portion of the Latino community, particularly among Catholic and evangelical Christian Latinos. Additionally, the Republican Party's commitment to limited government, lower taxes, and deregulation appeals to Latino entrepreneurs and small business owners who prioritize economic growth and self-reliance.
