WE'VE POSTPONED BANKRUPTING GRANNY
Common Sense Wins – Bankrupting Granny Fails

The “do-good” lawmakers in the Maryland Fire Marshall’s office and here in Montgomery County were poised to enact yet another law that would have cost Montgomery County taxpayers tens of thousands of dollars per family. But we fought it.
Silently and behind closed doors lawmakers put forth a law that would require high rise condominiums, to install sprinkler systems in all existing buildings at a projected cost of over $30,000 per unit. The cost could be even higher, depending on if a fire pump is needed, the size of the incoming water service and the size of the service from the street.
The Montgomery County Republican Central Committee fought back against this overreach and, working with other groups, got the law declared “not enforced” except in the cases of an “inimicable hazard”, whatever that means!

WOULD YOU PLAY THE RACE CARD OR THE GENDER CARD?

Dr. Monifa McKnight, Prince Georges County resident and Superintendent of the Montgomery County Public Schools was apparently asked to resign from her position by the seven elected Democrat women who run the Board of Education, according to reports in the media. The press speculated it was because of her ignorance of and promotion of a staffer with accusations of emotional abuse and sexual harassment of his staff and employees for years. Might also be because of the continued lack of educational improvement by many black and brown students in the MCPS (not in the private schools). Dr. McKnight and her attorney opposed the dismissal saying that the School Board had never done it to a male superintendent. Yes, they played the GENDER card. Apparently the School Board and the esteemed former superintendent reached a monetary payout before she had to play another card. The color of money trumps a lot, doesn't it. READ THE STORY BELOW

NO FEBRUARY MID-COUNTY MUSTER
Oppose End of Life Act
By Brigitta Mullican
OPPOSE SB 443 - End of Life Options Act
Please oppose this end-of-life bill. As a Catholic, my faith calls me to respect all life, from birth to natural death. I request that you not approve these Bills. How can helping someone die by drugs be considered “died by natural causes?” It is inhuman to help someone die. We should have compassion and help each individual to be out of pain but not to kill.
I am very concerned about the push to legalize the dangerous practice of physician-assisted suicide in our state. Maryland has rejected similar bills multiple times. I am asking the committee to oppose MD SB 443 - End of Life Options Act.

. . . .from the Maryland State Board of Elections, giving you the opportunity to sign up for Maryland’s permanent mail-in ballot list.
We say YES! Let’s take advantage of this opportunity!
As much as we would prefer a return to election day voting only, this system is here and the Democrats are beating us badly at this game.
Virginia’s Governor Youngkin credits much of his electoral success to encouraging his voters to vote early and to use the mail-in ballot system.
Our major presidential candidates embrace the idea and the RNC has initiated their program of:

RED ALERT!
By Stacey Sauter
In one of the most outrageous attempts yet to stretch its tentacles of progressive racial justice into every nook and cranny, the Council is now deliberating the “Menstrual Products Access and Equity Act”. Its passage would “require places of public accommodation to provide menstrual products in certain public restrooms at no charge to users.” To the casual observer, places are already providing hygiene products such as toilet paper, soap, and towels. So why not?
