THE MAGICIAN OF MOCO

Question A Passed by the voters about 2 to 1!

By Lori Jaffe

Montgomery County Executive Marc Elrich has fooled many MoCo residents for 35 years. In 2026, he wants to run for an additional four-year term. It was this tenacity that helped him win a Democrat primary run off in 2022 by just 35 votes. Tomorrow is the last day to Vote FOR Question A to limit the County Executive position to Two Consecutive Terms. During this magician's time on the public stage, many things have vanished before our eyes. Some are listed below.

Police Officers – Marc Elrich sought to cut back funding for our police department. With many police officers leaving due to low morale and low pay, our county has seen an increase in crime. Even a once very safe place like Montgomery Mall has seen a rise in assaults.

The Huessy Report Election '24

Weekly Report from Peter Huessy and Montgomery County

on Veterans Day, 2024

The Quote of the Week: CNN, November 5, 2024:

“Kamala Harris Predicted to Win By Every Major Forecaster”

The Trifecta Has Been Won?

As of Friday afternoon, Democrats held 199 House seats, while Republicans held 212 House seats, 6 short of a majority. The GOP has won a number of high-profile swing seats, with Ryan Mackenzie defeating three-term incumbent Democrat Susan Wild in Pennsylvania and Don Bacon holding on to his toss-up seat in Nebraska, denying Democrats a top flip opportunity. There are 11 races where Republican candidates are leading but still have not been called in Washington, Arizona, California, (6), Nebraska, Iowa and Alaska. In Washington, there are 2 Republican candidates running that are 52%-48% right now so the R pick that seat up with any outcome. In Washington State, two candidates from the same party can both qualify for the general election if they are the top two vote getters in the primary.

Trump also increased his performance in 49 states in 2024 compared to 2020 except the State of Washington where he lost 1/10th of 1% of his previous vote.

All in all, election forecaster Decision Desk HQ projects (as of this afternoon) that Republicans will control 222 seats to Democrats' 213. Right now, Republicans hold 220 seats to Democrats' 212, with 3 vacant. Cook Political Report is also projecting a 'narrow Republican House majority.'"

Question: We'd love to go to the Presidential Inauguration in Washington. Can we get tickets?

Answer: To be close to the inauguration you must have a ticket. The tickets are distributed to the public by your Members of Congress and the Senate. Each Member has a limited number. If you go online you can request them from the Congressman in your District, or from one of the two Maryland Senators. MAKE AMERICA SMILE AGAIN

SMART IDEA

Central Committee Member Josephine Salazar working the Praisner voting site on election day with a HUGE Republican Sample Ballot produced by Vice Chair Stacey Sauter. All the better to introduce our candidates with. The Democrats were jealous!

SAMPLE BALLOT

Many Republicans believe in waiting until election day to cast their ballot. In-person turn-out at your local polling place will be big tomorrow. Some would say HUGE!

If you haven't mailed-in or early voted we really need you to make your voice heard. I want everyone who's eligible to vote to have their choice counted.

That's always been the American way. We want a free and fair election, and an honest count.

Here's a copy of our Republican Voter's guide Sample Ballot. If you print it out you can take it into the booth with you.

Thanks for voting, keep the faith, we'll know soon what type of future we'll have.

God Bless America

LARA TRUMP IN ROCKVILLE

Lara Trump, RNC Co-Chair spoke at Lakewood Country Club last Wednesday to a packed house. The fundraiser coordinated by the Maryland Republican Party was a great success, featured a very diverse audience, and gave participants a chance to be inspired once again as we go into the November 5 election.

She told us her father-in-law is an amazing man, as strong and determined as he appears in public, and poised to Make America Great Again after four years of turmoil.
