The Montgomery County Park and Planning and County Council scheme to change single family zoning in the County was discussed. There was a capacity crowd at Let’s Talk Politics last week. Nancy Griffin, Chevy Chase Women’s Republican Club Let’s Talk Politics Chair, graciously hosted the event. The speakers, Congressional Nominee (District 6) and former Del. Neil Parrott, Brig. General John Teichert, and the President of Geo-Strategic Analysis, Peter Huessy, captivated their audience with their insights on nuclear deterrence, and stories about their experiences serving in the government and the military.

Legislative District 18 meets every Third Thursday of the month. Our next meeting is Thursday July 18th, 2024 at 7:00 PM

The Grand Old Party (GOP) meets in Milwaukee, Wisconsin next week to nominate Donald J. Trump as the Republican nominee for President.  Thanks to your support, the Montgomery County GOP Trump delegates will meet at the Fiserv Forum arena to express your wishes to help turn this country around.

While the Democrat nominee remains questionable, there’s no doubt we’ll put forward a tested and competent leader to restore our economy, our society, and our future. And when we return home, we’ll all continue working hard for our Republican slate here in Montgomery County—Donald Trump, Larry Hogan, Neil Parrott and Cheryl Riley.

I appreciate your willingness to help, so please continue volunteering (this newsletter is full of opportunities to step up).  We’re working on the National and Local level for needed change—from the White House to the State, County and School Board—we're working hard for you.

Last week we were inspired by the celebration of our country’s 248^th birthday. At that time, our founders developed a list of reasons why they sought to be free of the King of England’s rule. In this spirit, and with apologies to Thomas Jefferson, we offer our own Declaration of Independence from the rule of Montgomery County Executive Marc Elrich.
