PERSAUD PERSUASIVE AT BREAKFAST CLUB

Dennis Melby, Stacey Sauter and Kimblyn Persaud at The Republican Breakfast Club

Kim Persaud, Chair of EPIC of MoCo, spoke at the Republican Breakfast Club in Park Potomac last week. The Montgomery County Park and Planning and County Council scheme to change single family zoning in the County was discussed. What sounds good will lead to unaffordable development leading to overcrowding and a downgrade in our MoCo standard of living. For more information to go to EPIC of MoCo.com

INCREASED VEHICLE REGISTRATION FEES

Effective July 1st, your vehicle registration fees have increased by up to 80% thanks to a bill passed by Maryland Democrats, and signed by Governor Wes Moore.

If you drive a car under 3,500 pounds (a sedan), your new registration fee is $221 every two years, which is a 64% increase

If you drive a car between 3,500 and 3,700 pounds (a small SUV), your new registration fee is $241 every two years, which is a 79% increase.

If you drive a car over 3,700 pounds (a large SUV), your new registration fee is $321 every two years, which is a 73% increase.

If you drive a pickup truck, your new registration fee will be between $267.50 and $297.50 every two years, depending on the weight of your truck, which could be up to an 84% increase.

Marylanders will now pay the highest vehicle registration fees in the region.
This is just one increase out of 338 new or increased taxes and fees since Wes Moore took office as Governor.

This is not sustainable.

Maryland Democrats are raising taxes and fees at historic rates and that is not going to change until we get them out of office.  Please make your friends and neighbors aware of these tax and fee increases, and consider making a donation to the Maryland Republican Party so we can put fiscally conservative leaders in charge of our state government.

BACKING THE BLUE

WE BACK THE BLUE

By Alexandra Tuttle and Patsy Dillingham
Thank you to Martha Hale, UMRWC, who volunteered to pick up lunch for this visit--the entréewas all different kinds of sandwiches on croissant rolls and Chicken Nuggets from Chick-Fil-A (a favorite). Our wonderful volunteers brought water, fresh fruit, veggie platters and many other snacks. Thank You, CCWRC, PWRC, RWRC, UMRWC, MCFRW and MCGOP for all your volunteering, plus your very generous donations, which makes it all possible and successful!!  The many hands had the table prepared when the police officers, who were in the middle of a shift change, slowly made their way in the already crowded room--we all clapped and whooped as they entered!! It just keeps getting better and better!!

TURN THIS COUNTRY AROUND

The Grand Old Party (GOP) meets in Milwaukee, Wisconsin next week to nominate Donald J. Trump as the Republican nominee for President.  Thanks to your support, the Montgomery County GOP Trump delegates will meet at the Fiserv Forum arena to express your wishes to help turn this country around.

While the Democrat nominee remains questionable, there’s no doubt we’ll put forward a tested and competent leader to restore our economy, our society, and our future. And when we return home, we’ll all continue working hard for our Republican slate here in Montgomery CountyDonald Trump, Larry Hogan, Neil Parrott and Cheryl Riley.

I appreciate your willingness to help, so please continue volunteering (this newsletter is full of opportunities to step up).  We’re working on the National and Local level for needed changefrom the White House to the State, County and School Boardwe're working hard for you.

On behalf of my colleagues: David Bossie, Bob Carey, Sastry Dhara, Ruth Melson, Brigitta Mullican, and Josephine Salazar, thank you for electing us as Trump Delegates to the Republican National Convention. We won’t let you down.

DECLARE YOUR INDEPENDENCE!

By Lori Jaffe

Last week we were inspired by the celebration of our country’s 248th birthday. At that time, our founders developed a list of reasons why they sought to be free of the King of England’s rule. In this spirit, and with apologies to Thomas Jefferson, we offer our own Declaration of Independence from the rule of Montgomery County Executive Marc Elrich.
