Jimmy Carter - Don't Vote by Mail
By Dennis Brent Melby
It’s Presidents' Day.
I worked for Jimmy Carter. I’m a MoCo native, plenty of us work or have worked in DC, and I was transferred from Rockville to work at the White House as a low-level clerk for the Three Mile Island Commission, and stayed at various posts until the day after he left. As a person he was a brilliant man, very moral - but also usually very wrong on almost every decision. Up until Biden he was the worst President of my lifetime. Except after he was booted from office – he and Secretary of State James Baker later co-chaired the Commission on Federal Election Reform, a task force that recommended we limit mail-in voting to the Military and overseas personnel. He said “Absentee ballots remain the largest source of potential voter fraud.” I have to agree.
Even President Carter at 100, just before he passed, voted in-person in Georgia. He felt it was so important. Fast forward to today, our "almost" President Hillary Clinton, is stating that with voter ID requirements married women won't be able to vote. Do you believe it? Do you know a woman who would accept being turned away at the polls because of a change of name on their driver’s license? I sure as heck don’t. It’s ridiculous. Recent polls say both sexes (yep - there're just two) and folks of every skin color say they already have an ID to vote. Furthermore almost every other democratic country on earth today requires an ID to vote – they only want vested citizens controlling their governments – not a bad idea don’t you think?
So what should we do as Republicans? It’s kind of straight forward, we have to play their game (the Democrats have total control of the Maryland government right now) and make sure as many of us vote as possible – either by mail or in person - we have to turn things around before we’re taxed through the roof and legislated into oblivion. Higher taxes, fewer services, deteriorating public schools, limits on police and security . . . it goes on and on.

Leisure World - MC Republican Party Event
Leisure World Republican Club Hosts a Candidate Forum - March 11
By: Alina Zygmunt
All Democrats, Independents, and Republicans are invited to the “Candidate Extravaganza” to be held on March 11, 1:30-3:00 pm, in Leisure World’s Crystal Ballroom.
This special event is being held in association with the Montgomery County Republican Party.
Spring is around the corner, which ushers in renewal, growth, and new beginnings. In the spirit of a brighter future, Republican candidates will offer solutions to major problems that polarize Maryland voters: crime, safety, taxes, government spending, high utility rates (energy needs), cost of living, and more! (These serious issues were identified in a poll conducted by The Institute of Politics at the University of MD, Baltimore County.)
Come and meet the Republican Candidates, who will initiate the changes that MD needs in order to survive in the future. Dan Cox, John Myrick, Ed Hale and other candidates for Governor have been invited, as well as Republican candidates for Congress, County Council, and MD Senate and House Delegates. Also invited are the non-partisan candidates for Judge and Board of Education posts.
All voters have the opportunity to listen to the presentations and chat with the candidates in person. Change in leadership is one solution to the voter pessimism that exists in MD today. We look forward to seeing you at this “Candidate Palooza!”

Washington Post:
You are correct. The Post is mostly left wing propagandist. We need a paper with reporters that are balanced and fair to all parties. I’m a native Washingtonian and I love living here.

I was a news photographer for the Washington Star from 79 to 81 when it closed. We were the only DC paper with honest reporting. The Washington Post was always a left wing biased paper. It became worse when the Smith Mundt act was repealed in 2012.

I am a graduate of Wootton High School, where a student was recently shot. I understand the victim is currently in stable condition.
This heartbreaking incident is a sobering reminder of how critical school safety truly is. It is deeply concerning that the Montgomery County Council, led by Will Jawando, voted to remove School Resource Officers from our high schools while claiming, “Montgomery County has the opportunity to lead on this.”
I firmly believe we must fully fund and support our police. Our schools need effective weapons detection and School Resource Officers in every high school to help protect students and staff.
Every parent, student, teacher, and community member deserves to feel safe—at school, at work, and in places of worship.
I am running to represent County Council District 1, and when elected, I will vote to support our police and restore School Resource Officers in our schools.
