ASSISTANCE TO VICTIMS OF THE HAMAS MASSACRE

In times of uncertainty, it is sometimes difficult to know how best to help the humanitarian need that is occurring in Israel. Here is an updated list (not comprehensive) of ways to help. Please share with others.

LIMIT COUNTY EXECUTIVE TO TWO TERMS!

We are all concerned with where our Country and County is headed.

All throughout our great Country basic conservative ideals and beliefs are under attack.

WOKEISM is running un-checked and that is nowhere more evident that right here in Montgomery County.

Our career politicians are focusing on such inane things as banning gas-powered leaf blowers, spending $80 million for bike lanes, and drag queen story hour for toddlers …. While defunding the police and providing us with constant unchecked tax increases to fund their social utopia.

We are seeing our once-amazing school systems in Montgomery County erode to the point that we no longer have any schools in the top 100 nationwide.

This is NOT the Montgomery County that I grew up in.

Enough is enough!!!

I ask you to have the strength and the courage to stand with me to make a change and right this ship.

Here in Montgomery County, we have a non-partisan group called the Committee for Better Government that is circulating a petition to limit the County Executive to two terms.

After all, the President has two terms, the Governor has two terms… shouldn’t our County Executive also be limited to two terms?

I am asking you to support this petition effort. If you are a Montgomery County voter, please email us HERE and tell us how to reach you. We’d like to add your name to the over 4,000 County residents that have already signed in support of this change.

Together we can make a difference.

Former Chair, Montgomery County Republican Party

Republican Women Meet at WISP

By Julie Krieger
It was an eventful MFRW convention last weekend!  Despite the rain and fog which resulted in temporary road closures, we all made it safely.  Thanks to the ten ladies who represented our clubs and made the three hour drive to Garrett County to participate: Vikki Birkett, Brigitta Mullican, Julie Krieger. Sylvia Darrow, Martha Hale, Laurie Halverson, Amy D’Elia, Anne Koutsoutis, Sandy Tuttle and Elizabeth Ohmen.

Anne Koutsoutis, MFRW 3rd Vice President, led the attendees in a lovely prayer to begin the Board Meeting.

Julie Krieger, the MFRW Membership Chair, presented membership awards to several clubs. Congrats to Chevy Chase Women’s Republican Club for winning the summer membership contest!

Martha Hale introduced a motion to table a bylaws change which would have eliminated the corresponding secretary position. Her motion passed after discussion.
We are excited to announce that Vikki Birkett was nominated from the floor for 2nd VP by Brigitta Mullican, and was elected. Congrats to Vikki!

HOUSE SPEAKER MIKE JOHNSON

From ABC News: Speaker Mike Johnson took the oath of office and a victory lap upon formally clinching the speaker's gavel, calling on the passage of conservative priorities while also emphasizing bipartisanship.

"I want to say to the American people…we hear you. We know the challenges you're facing. We know there's a lot going on in our country," Johnson said in his acceptance speech. "Our mission here is to serve you well."

Maryland Celebrates Emancipation Day

Maryland was never fully controlled by Republicans, but we were able to abolish slavery here after the Republican President, Abraham Lincoln, abolished it in most of the country with the Emancipation Proclamation - which didn't apply to Maryland. The vote was for a new Maryland Constitution that included abolishing slavery, and it hinged on the votes of our men fighting for the Union in the Civil War. Remember back then it was only white men voting. It passed after their votes cast on the battlefield were counted.

Take time Wednesday to remember Maryland Emancipation Day!

SUPPORT THE POLICE

DEMOCRATS PAINTED DEFUND THE POLICE ON THE STREET IN FRONT OF THE WHITE HOUSE. THE MONTGOMERY COUNTY EXECUTIVE REFUSED TO ALLOW THE POLICE SUPPORT FLAG, THE THIN BLUE LINE, TO BE DISPLAYED IN COUNTY POLICE LOBBIES. REMEMBER? THE COPS SURE DO.

FROM ZIGGY MARLEY - FREE GAZA

The people of GAZA are under the control of the terrorist organization HAMAS. Let's support Israel in freeing GAZA and its people in the grasp and murderous control of HAMAS.
