Supreme Court Ends Anti-Asian Discrimination in Universities
By Dennis Melby
With an important ruling, the US Supreme Court struck down the use of affirmative action to limit the number of Asians in education. The court, which has 2 Members who are Montgomery County residents and whose families face constant protest in front of their homes, said in essence the way to end discrimination is to end discrimination.
So many of our previous guests and supporters were involved in this case. Mike Zhao, Xi Van Fleet and Kenny Xu either spoke at our Lunar New Year festivities, appeared on Monday's with MoCo, or spoke at our County Conventions. We congratulate them all, along with citizens of all colors who will be recognized as Martin Luther King said, for the content of their character, and not the color of their skin.
