UARE.US LOOKING FOR SCHOOL BOARD CANDIDATES

UARE ANNOUNCEMENT

United Against Racism in Education (UARE) is interested in assisting qualified candidates who are interested in running for Montgomery County Board of Education.

There are three (3) seats on the BOE that will be on the ballot in 2024. District 2 (Northwest County including Poolesville, Germantown & Clarksburg ), District 4 (South and Southeast County, mainly Silver Spring), and At-Large. These seats are very important to our plan for restoring family and parent involvement and the high level of achievement that MCPS has been known for in the past. In addition, we want to improve services and accommodations that meet the educational needs of all students, while protecting our kids from the drugs, crime and violence that nobody wants to talk about. Qualified candidates should bring enthusiasm and commitment as well as a background and/or training in one or more of the following:

● Education,
● Political Activism or Elected Office
● Managing Teams,
● Financial Management, Bookkeeping and Accounting,
● Criminal Justice,
● Medical Degree, or Psychology Degree,
● Community Organizing
Our group is committed to finding the most qualified candidates out there, that can help bring back our academic focus! We are hoping to help the candidates with campaign funding. Therefore, any donation you can provide will help with the cost of the candidate's printed literature, mailings, and signs. Please make out checks to UARE and mail to:
16501 Shady Grove Road, Suite 10524 Gaithersburg, MD 20898.
