Statement by Montgomery County Republican Party
Chairman, Alexander A. Bush
Rockville, MD -- Earlier today, the Montgomery County Council released a blatantly dishonest statement defending its decision to join County Executive Elrich in announcing the most restrictive policy of non-cooperation with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) in the D.C. metro area.
Montgomery County citizens, across all races and political parties, are entitled to condemn this policy for what it is: a dangerous political stunt by politicians seeking kudos for defying President Trump, while callously disregarding the human cost of their policy.
The County Council deflects this well-merited criticism by accusing their critics of joining with “neo-Nazi sympathizers” to spread disinformation. This is a blatant attempt to frighten into silence anyone who would speak out.
The members of the County Council are entitled to their own opinions, but not their own facts.
Within thirty days of the announcement of this policy, there have been seven illegal immigrants charged with sexual assault in Montgomery County, with child victims in at least three cases. If these crimes continue at this rate, illegal immigrants would be responsible for more than eighty sexual assaults against Montgomery County residents each year.
The County Council assures us that their policy of non-cooperation is irrelevant to the incidence of sexual assault in our county, but at least some of these crimes are occurring in Montgomery County because our county leadership as made it very clear that, for people here illegally and who intend to commit serious crimes, Montgomery County is the place to be.

The High Cost of Political Theatre
by Alexander A. Bush, Chairman, MCGOP
Rockville, MD -- This July, County Executive Marc Elrich proudly announced the most restrictive policy on non-cooperation with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) in the D.C. metro area. At the time, I said that this was a “political stunt all about opposing a president he hates, even at the risk of the safety of Montgomery County residents." Sadly, Mr. Elrich has taken every opportunity since then to prove me right.
Letter for County Executive Elrich
Dear County Executive Elrich,
When you gave your inaugural address at the Strathmore Music Center in 2018, you promised to make Montgomery County a “more just society.” This promise fit in well with the mission statement of the Democratic Socialists of America (DSA) – a group that endorsed you, and that you proudly retweeted upon your victory – which says its goal is to “empower working people.”
Judicial Watch Does Vote Count – More Voters than Eligible Residents
by Deb Lambert
One of the Left’s constant agenda items during the 2016 presidential campaign was to insist on addressing the voting public with dire predictions that then-candidate Donald J. Trump would refuse to concede after he lost the election.
But what happens when the shoe is on the other foot?
Seven Serious Crimes
SIX seven crimes in August alone. Hispanic families not being protected, and the County becoming a mockery by the national press.
Montgomery County continues to suffer from Takoma Park County Executive Marc Elrich's edict that county goverment not cooperate with ICE in getting serious criminals off the streets. Six serious crimes in August alone.

Hire A Hero
HELP A HERO!
In April, my friend, the MAGA-hat wearing Atsu Mable, was assaulted in Germantown by two criminals intent on silencing him. Afterwards, he told reporters, “I’ll wear it again.” Atsu stood up for the Republicans of Montgomery County by refusing to be intimidated, and now we have a chance to repay him. Atsu has an MBA in Accounting but has been having trouble recently finding employment. If you know anyone who needs to hire a good accountant, please pass on Atsu’s résumé (included below), make sure to share both pages OR just forward this link.
Single Family Home Zoning Under Siege in Montgomery County
By Gail Weiss
Predictably, but disappointingly, the Montgomery County Council unanimously passed ZTA 19-01, regarding Accessory Dwelling Units (ADUs) on July 23rd, 2019. This will be remembered as the day single family home (SFH) zoning died in Montgomery County.
IF YOU ARE GOING TO LIE, GET THE STORY STRAIGHT !!
By Hessie L. Harris
In the end, corporate America always follows the almighty dollar, which is the reason it casts its lot with progressives and political correctness.
That viewpoint has cost the NFL and its affiliates huge sums of money and prestige that they will never recover. After the “knee campaign” fizzled, Colin Kaepernick decided that he would show disrespect for the Betsy Ross flag by claiming that as a shoe emblem, it was objectionable because it was created during the period that slavery existed in America.
The whole situation is an example of cultural, racial and historical ignorance.
